We had a great lunch here. Not too crowded (Sat. 11 am) and we were able to get a table outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. Both items we ordered were absolutely delicious (jalapeno cornbread waffle topped with scrambled eggs & the fried fish po-boy)....More

I’ve passed this place several times, but didn’t have the opportunity to stop in until today. What took me so long? This is a friendly, low key cafe serving breakfast and lunch on weekdays and brunch on weekends. It is set in an historic building...More

This week I stopped at Farley girls and ordered two eggs over easy grants and wheat toast. I ended up paying 14+ dollars! Oh, and a glass of iced tea! I could’ve gone to I Hop and paid half the price! Very disappointed!More

It seems that the mushroom grits pushed the cost up vs. IHOP. The first breakfast item on our menu includes the grits at $10; farther down the page was two eggs & potatoes at $8.00. Yes, the iced tea & tax + meal = $14+....More

Breakfast items were good, chicken salad was average but bread was terrible, pizza was decent, and fish tacos were tasty. This place gets crowded and very loud. You order and pay for your food first, then have to wait for a table to open up....More

Please try us again! We are fortunate to have a 'loud crowd' from time to time, especially with UTMB across the street. The doctors and staff try to get in and get out usually all at once --- thus the noise. Around 1:00 - 1:15...More

Description
Texas Monthly Magazine - "This bright, cheery cafe located near the Medical Center enjoys a legion of foodie fans. Weekday lunches feature great salads, sandwiches, po'boys, and one of our faves-tacos loaded with grilled fish, crunchy cabbage slaw, and a house-made rémoulade that brings it all together. On the weekends we return for a brunch of fluffy biscuits topped with sinfully rich cream gravy and a pitcher of mimosas with fresh squeezed OJ. Oh yeah."
