Went to the Flying Fish in Garland for a late lunch. I ate at the one in Fort Worth a few years ago and wanted to see if the great experience I had there could be duplicated in the Garland location. It was. We were in a party of four and everyone got something different from the enormous menu and... More

Came here with the in-laws. They always use a coupon and get the same grilled tilapia with grilled vegetables. They love it and usually have leftovers for lunch the next day. My problem is that I am from New Orleans and lived in Key Largo for awhile. I find the grilled platters unevenly cooked and lacking in flavor. The boiled... More

Ate here for the first time tonight and the barbecue shrimp plate with coleslaw and red beans and rice was outstanding. My wife had a side of excellent fried okra as well. Unfortunately the lobster stew was mediocre at best. Unlike real lobster stew in Maine which has lobster meat, cream and milk, this stew contained lots of carrots, celery,... More

My wife and i try to eat here at least twice a month, great restaurant with wide choice of items on the menu. Most people go for the catfish (which is very good), both my wife and I prefer the Jambalaya. It is always busy, prices are moderate, and parking at the Mall is always easy. I highly recommend. The... More

Group of retired men eat out weekly. First time group met there. Everyone enjoyed their meal with some taking into consideration dietary needs. Entrees ordered ranged from a fresh salad to fried fish to shrimp. Everyone left satisfied. We will eat there again.

When we want really good fried seafood this is our place to go. Also good oysters on the half shell and good gumbo. Reasonably priced, very casual.

The crawfish is better than the competition nearby. They carry Dallas Blonde beer. Our favorite. All of the fried food is good. Hushpuppies are good. Mexican cocktail is good. Gumbo too spicy.

We go to Flying Fish in Garland a couple times a month. Food is always served hot and promptly. We love the shrimp/ my wife loves the pickled green tomatoes! Would go more often but most items are fried... cutting down on fried food but when we have it Flying Fish is our choice.

I love the fried shrimp basket (snappy). Grilled fish is good and good for you. Many locations in dfw. No frills serve yourself. We go regularly with coupons and discount card.

Perfect for an informal delicious meal. Dropped in here with family for lunch. We chose from the huge menu of selections behind the counter where the orders are taken. A buzzer at our table notified us when our order was ready. I had a cup of gumbo – hearty and delicious with lots of shrimp and a scoop of rice.... More
