We ate here based on its rating. We were not disappointed with meals. It is a hometown restaurant and worth eating at!

Hidden away locally owned. Specializes in catfish but has other fried seafood as well. Don't go here looking for upscale ambience. It won't win any awards for decor. Nonetheless, it's a very friendly place. The owner greets you and wants to know how you enjoyed your meal. The oysters and catfish were perfectly cooked.

Bob's has always had the best catfish--crispy and succulent and battered just right. His oil is always fresh, which makes a big difference. The hush puppies are great, and I like the Cole slaw, because it's sweet. He has other items, but I love the catfish the most!

This restaurant has been around for some time now, and for good reason. Good, simple fried catfish+. Lots of local charater

When we want to just enjoy a good, classic Texas meal, in a good, classic Texas cafe, we go to Bob's, located on a side street next to San Gabriel Park. You can get a variety of seafood fried or grilled. The cole slaw is the best I've tasted: kinda dry, not drenched in mayo or vinegar, crunchy and filling.... More

My husband and I ate here for the first time and found the food just ok. I have had better catfish, cold slaw was too sweet for my taste, hush puppies did not taste fresh to me. If we did return I would try the shrimp or something different.

My husband and I enjoy Bob's when we want catfish in a low-key type atmosphere. The food is great and the service is always good. Friday night is all you can eat night. Feels homey.

The service here is excellent. My co-workers and I go here once or twice a month (if not more). They always know what we want to drink and we generally get the same thing each time. The food isn't "out of this world" but what makes this place special is the feeling like you're family. The only thing I would... More

Went there with a fairly large group of people. The staff did a great job of handling the group. We got our food in a timely fashion. I like fish and I got a plate that had a mixture of several items. It was all good, but nothing to write home about.

Took the family here for dinner and was surprised to find not only catfish but several species of fish on the menu. The coleslaw was very unique using oil and vinegar instead of mayo very tasty and their take on hushpuppies with horseradish sauce was delicious.
