Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited for last orders at Sunady lunch time and couldn't have been more pleased that we did! It was our first visit since it's refurb and didn't know what to expect but the restaurant was warm and had a friendly atmosphere, staff were attentive...and efficient without being intrusive but most importantly the food was top notch.More

We came here on a Saturday for a bite to eat! The menu isn’t massive but there was lots of choice, including a special lunch menu. The main menu choices were too tempting and we went for those! Portions were large, tasty and so fresh....Lots of gluten free options too for my friend. The pudding options were also wonderful! We were so full but client resist. The cheesecake was homemade and probably the best I’ve ever tasted! The pub is cosy, traditional and lovely. Friendly staff and reasonable. Worth noting that parking is limited but plenty across the road at the village hall. (If mobility issues, just try and get in the car park!) Can’t wait to return! Thank you!More

Have been several times in the evening with friends and always had great evenings. Went for Sunday lunch with family. We all had fantastic roast beef lunches and followed by puddings. The food is very good well presented and served by attentive team members. Highly...recommend for both Sunday lunches and for evening mealsMore

A lovely experience. Super warm welcome and invited I to the restaurant to enjoy the fire despite having been bike riding and still in kit. The service was impeccable the food was divine. All 3 of us really enjoyed it. What a special pub.

Our first visit here, and it won't be the last. The table d'hote menu offered a good choice in each of three courses and was reasonably priced. Service was friendly and efficient and the food was excellent, well presented and with generous portions.

Our party of 4 friends arrived at 1830hrs on a Friday for a pre-booked table, and were warmly welcomed. Choosing from the extensive menu our main courses were served promptly, and the food was very well presented. All four meals were delicious, and were followed...by desserts. The staff were both friendly and efficient, and the venue had a very enjoyable atmosphere. We noticed a poster adverting a lighter lunch menu from Wednesday - Sunday. so that s another possibility. Highly recommended.More

First time at the Bank House... We went for a family meal to celebrate the end of our two week summer holiday break, and had a fabulous meal. You could tell everyone there was having a wonderful evening, including those enjoying the evening sun at...the tables outside. The atmosphere inside was also lovely, with warm, inviting decor, a cosy lounge leading to the restaurant area. Menu excellent... we indulged with three courses, after a very active and busy day with lots of walking. Two of us chose the sea bass, which had a delicious butter with capers, and beautifully cooked vegetables, one had risotto (excellent 👌!) and another an excellent lasagne. Desserts delicious, especially the homemade cheesecake with flecks of chocolate embedded in it, and a perfect biscuit base. Our waiter was great, attentive and helpful, and the lovely, cheerful bar staff brought us our drinks. Perfect for romantic meals or a special occasion, but also a great local to have, we could tell! How lucky Hixon village is to have this gem of a place! We will make sure we re-visit as soon as we are in the area again.More

We were recommended to try the Bank House under the new owners by a friend who said it was superb. We went for an evening meal for 4 and the recommendation was correct. The service was second to noe, friendly and attentive. The food was...excellent - way above average but not too expensive. Overall we had a really good evening meal and drinks. Nothing whatsoever to fault - excellent.More
