Hi Ollie, It was no problem, Thank you for taking the time to leave this kind review :)
Sadly this pub that was once good value for money seems not to be so good as it once was. No Sunday lunch as the chef was off. The Gammon was more fat than meat, the chilli tasted sour and at approx £21 per head...for 2 courses there are other places in Powick that serve a 2 course Sunday lunch for approx £15.More
Hi Robin, I have been looking after the pub for Matt and Karen while they were away and I’m disheartened to see that this is what they have to come back to. This must be one Sunday out of the whole year which we haven’t...More
Great pub which also has a site for motorhomes and glamping pods. Pub is a real gem internally, lovely old country feel but lots of interesting artifacts ranging from military badges, ties, miniature gnomes, guitars and photographs. There is a reasonable menu plus fair selection...of specials to choose from. Good service, nice beers and lovely ambience. Dog friendly in bar but does get busy.More
Thanks for your positive review, please tell us what we can do better to get this to a five star review :)
stayed here for a night in campervan. what a lovely place. fabulous cosy pub with lovely food. Great little shop and tea room, lovely lady serving there. clean site, beautiful surroundings with awesome aviary in gardens. even loved the animals in the fields next door,...will def go back, clean shower and toilet . loved this placeMore
We stayed in the Pods for four nights while attending Lakefest and visiting family. I've been to the Old Bush many times over the years and every time I go there's always something extra and better than the last time. Fantastic facilities at the Pods,...great shower, really comfy bed, TV with Netflix, hot chocolate and kettle, beautiful tea service set and fantastic views. Landscaping around the site is really well thought out and convenient. The on site Shop at the Top and Cafe had a great selection of everything we needed including excellent vegetarian options. The pub itself has the best stocked bar around with a great selection of spirits, ales, cider and wines. Also great menu of homemade food (excellent vegetarian options here too). We really enjoyed our stay in our super cosy, clean and beautiful Pod! Thank you to all staff. Highly recommended.More
Stayed for five nights with a campervan pitch with the family. Absolutely stunning site for camping. A fantastic pub with a beautiful little shop does a hell of a lot for its size. Clearly very popular with locals also. Everyone was so friendly. We will...definitely be back again and have already recoiit to friends and family.More
Great pub good atmosphere friendly locals and landlord and staff good parking on site local deli on site
We stayed over on our way to Devon and it was a great halfway point from the North West. The campsite is amazing, very well-maintained and with an aviary with the most gorgeous birds to look at. For our evening meal my vegetable enchiladas were...delicious, as was my husband’s sea bass. As for the dessert… well… if my husband looked at me the way he looked at that bread and butter pudding, I’d feel like a goddess. It took him right back to childhood, just like the food critic in Ratatouille. We could practically hear his nan dishing it up. We will be back, bringing our aviation-obsessed son next time, so he can gaze at all the Concorde memorabilia. Thank you for a fantastic stay!More
Excellent welcome Table was ready on arrival excellent staff - so helpful delicious food would definitely go back
Fantastic value and excellent food. The pub catered for our party of 29 without fuss and all meals served together! Amazing work by the staff - well done!
(Lunch, Saturday 3 June) Big thanks to Karen, Matt and the team for allowing us to take up nearly half the pub and producing delicious, well-cooked meals (accompanied by plenty of drinks!) to a celebratory group of 28 people, all served on time. Much in...awe of how Karen managed to do this, especially as there were plenty of other customers too. Everyone in the party, most of whom were first-time visitors, thoroughly enjoyed themselves and really appreciated the pub's efforts. A great contribution to a special day. B. and S.More
I was brought here for lunch and it was a lovely pub of any of my recent visits to country pubs in a while. Great choice of beers and lovely surroundings. Decided to have lunch and was not disappointed by their standards of cooking and...service. They cater for families and Animals with lots of different activities for the children. Enjoy your visit to the bathrooms, as very clean and something delightful to look at during your time there Will be going back.More
We stayed at The Old Bush in Callow End, Worcester this passed weekend. It was our second visit and everything about here is amazing. My partners parents stayed in one of the pods and we took our camper-van. We ate with them on Friday evening...and Sunday lunch and I have to say that the meals were full of flavour and we could tell that we were eating quality food, and of course they were cooked to perfection, The chefs cooked to an extremely high standard. The bar staff were really pleasant with a smile as soon as they saw you. The waiting on staff were polite and respectful. We were seated on a table outside the kitchen door and we got to see how hard the waiting on staff worked, they never stopped. All I can say is that all 4 of us loved staying with you and we have booked to comeback in July with another 2 members of our family. Thank you to everyone who works there, they really are a credit to the business. See you in July x * I forgot to say how lovely the shop staff are tooMore
Thankyou so much for your review. All of our staff really appreciated reading your kind words and we are glad you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to seeing you in July :)
The very masculine decor is remarkable. Memorabilia of Concorde, cricket and musicians/instruments. In the Gents Toilet are high quality pictures of naked ladies. Great beer, excellent food, friendly and efficient service. Good value. There is a lovely beer garden. What's not to like?
We often visit The Old Bush, for meals or drinks, after a walk, always 5/5. Friendly, welcoming, and the staff are very friendly . Our most recent visit was on April 30th for a Sunday Lunch, it was scrumptious meal. Veg was hot and plentiful. No...puds this time except my husband who had treacle sponge and custard. Fabulous, will be back!! 😊👍More
