Great brunch menu with wonderful singing by Annette and music by "The Guys"! Nice way to start a Sunday in the Museum area.

RESTAURANT'S FAVOURITE REVIEW
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 September 2016

Danton's is easy access and parking on Montrose--a real find. It specializes in Gulf coast seafood and odes a great job of it. From oysters on the shell to crab cakes (flatten like pancakes!), to a Mexican Campechana (yummy seafood cocktail with shrimp, crab, avocado), you can't go wrong. Two gumbos! Bisque and garlic soup and crab salad. I am... More

We've been stuck in Houston for a month, and I was tired of beef & chicken. Our GPS popped up Danton's close to the downtown Medical Center area, so we gave it a try. What an absolutely happy surprise! Dark but not too dark inside, plenty of old wood, and generally very pleasing inside. We didn't have a reservation, but... More

I have been to Dantons twice and the latest for their Sunday jazz brunch. The stuffed shrimp is very good as is the okra and tomatoes as a side dish. Service is great and wait staff very friendly and attentive. Portions are just the right size.

My wife and I had lunch here for the first time and we will definitely return. We both enjoyed our lump crabmeat salads, with generous portions of seafood. Want to go back to try the grilled fish, oyster dishes and poyboys on their extensive Gulf Coast seafood menu.

Being from New Orleans, it is hard to find the real deal in TX...Houston included though you'd think they are close enough in proximity to not be miles and miles apart. They typically are which makes Danton's such a jewel. It is the real deal. Consistently. I only wish I didn't have to choose rice as a "side" when it... More

We went to Danton's for dinner from reading reviews from several "best gumbo in Houston" sites. The sea food gumbo was very "ruey" and salty with hardly any substance. The cup had two tiny shrimp and two raw oysters. Strange gumbo. May be I am not Cajan enough. The campanchano was very good. make sure to ask for shrimp and... More
