I have been eating here for 15 years. It is my favorite place to eat for both lunch (at about half price w/reduced menu) and dinner. I have never had a bad meal at Kirins.

First time there. Good variety of sushi rolls. Sashimi is limited but not too bad. Good selection of other Asian style food.

Great sushi, with lots of variety. A really great selection of non-sushi cuisine for those who prefer their food cooked. I've been coming here for years, and it's always a pleasure...

Loved it, kind of....They do a good job of cycling the food so it does not sit out too long. Want to get creative and push your traditional food sensitivities, give these folks a shot. Very personable and delightful service.

I must confess from the first - Kirin II Japanese Buffet is my favorite place to eat. Situated in what used to be a Shoney's location close to Willowbrook Mall, you'd expect this to be fast food fare. It is not! True, Kirin offers buffet service rather than menu, but don't let that create the illusion that this is poor... More

Each time I visit our Houston office I add Kirin to the list of places I need to hit. Variety is very good and kept replenished. Not many empty spots in the buffet. Staff is always around and offers good service. Quality of food is very good. I wish I had one of these in my home town.

This is the best restaurant in the greater Southeast Texas region bar none. Some people have the illusion that because they pay more they get more, and it is a false perception. Kirin's sources their fish from the same place that all legitimate sushi restaurants do in the Houston area. So let the disillusioned complain while you enjoy a bargain... More

Although a little off the beaten track in North-Western Houston, Kirin II has a wide offering of Sushi at their "All you can Eat Sushi Buffet". With a good selection of Japanese and Chinese dishes for the non Sushi eaters their $11.95 (weekdays from 11:30 -2:30 pm); $12.95 Sat. Sun. from 11:30 - 3:00 menu is super.
