We stopped in for a late lunch last weekend -- and what a mistake that was! The place was empty - which should have been our first tip off. When we placed our drink order - the waitress told us she'd be back in 5...More

This place is the best for authentic, reasonably priced tex-mex and Mexican food, even late night. They have a great patio, awesome seating inside, and friendly service. Their chips and salsa are amazing, which is how I judge a restaurant. I love divey, hole-in the...More

If you find yourself at El Pueblito, make sure to eat outside in one of the cabanas. This place has done an excellent job of making you feel as though you are at an ocean side eatery. It could be 100 degrees in Houston, but...More

Parking is outrageous. The food is good and the menu has lots of Latin dishes that are not offered at other restaurants. The patio is an awesome dining experience, however, the elements could cause others to choose not to dine outdoors. Flies, mosquitoes, birds...ect. While...More

Good location. Parking very difficult and away from location. Facility is showing age and wear. Outdoor seating pillows and cushions are old, moldy and dirty. Menu is varied, typical Mexican fare with a little island style. Margaritas weak and not very good in flavor. Food...More

The patio area is fun with many tables having their own cabana while the menu is reasonably priced and heavily fish based. The pineapple salsa was great but the rest of the food was average at best tasting less than fresh. Our server was pleasant.

Last night was not as good as the other times. I got the seafood enchiladas and while they tasted good, the gravy did not seem fresh. The side portions were good, but the guacamole seemed store bought. This was surprising. The chips and rice were...More

Love their mango margaritas, cabanas are lots of fun, and it's probably the top 10 patios in Houston, but I always eat before I go. It's not terrible food, but it's not great and not worth the price.

Everyone also says, "Go for their patio." So we did both - for probably the 30th time, since it's in our neighborhood. We've tried other dishes here, but Tex-Mex is still Tex-Mex, after all. And nobody has to eat the pineapple salsa, because Pueblito's regular...More
