We had business in Houston earlier this year and stayed at a downtown hotel. The hotel had a car that would take us to and pick us up from restaurants. The Blue Fish was one they recommeded. We, three guys went for drinks and a bit to eat. We have the Volcano and other Rolls and various Martinis. The drinks... More

This was my first and last visit to Blue Fish House on Richmond. I am no sushi connoisseur but you don't need to be one to know bad sushi. I'll start with what I had and then assess the quality, taste, etc. I had a spicy salmon, spider and shrimp tempora roll, one raw and two cooked rolls. The spicy... More

I love Blue Fish! Yeah, it is not a genuine Japanese place, more like fusion but the rolls are great, they have other options even vegetarian ones. Down side is parking and small restaurant size.

Creative and large rolls are perfect for our family to share. We usually get the volcano roll or shrimp tempopo to share. My kids love the crawfish roll, devil oyster roll, and the spicy tuna. Great happy hour deals, too. Sugar Land location has very attentive service. Houston location has outdoor seating.

we went on a Sunday, they had really good happy hour special. I loved the Devil Oyster Roll, not too spicy, not too bland. And i also enjoyed the lychee sake. It's a nice little spot, you can sti in the patio or inside. I will definitely be going back soon. The service was good, although it did upset me... More

Blue Fish is a good option for sushi in Houston. I go there quite often with friends, as we like the atmosphere. Their sushi is fresh and tasty, and they carry a varied menu. The place is much better after they renovated about a year ago. Parking has gotten worse though, but they now have Valet, which is convenient.

About 6 months ago we had a terrible experience here: incredibly slow service, main courses served 30 minutes apart, and an absolutely uncaring attitude. At the time I posted a Citysearch review. I finally agreed to my wife's request to give it another try since the food is pretty good (for a low-mid range place), it's reasonably priced, and our... More
