The crawfish was not good at all, I was expecting something better, they were very small and we got a lot of them dead maybe a pound, no flavor. All my comments about the crawfish were deleted, if you can't take criticism regarding your restaurant, the quality of the food should be better, now I will try to let everybody... More

Your kids will love you for taking them there. Often pony rides are available for a couple bucks too. Let them feed the animals and play in the play area while you eat some great burgers that are reasonably priced. This is a super popular place too for team sports lunches for kiddos too.

I've been eating at Clay's since I came to Houston in 1987, and I think they have the best I've eaten. The place has grown, and continues to grow, but the quality of the burgers hasn't slipped a bit. The waitstaff is friendly, and the service is fast. You can schedule group events here, including events you might not think... More

My son's wedding rehearsal dinner was held at Clays on July 22, 2016. The staff was so helpful, accommodating and easy to work with. Everyone had a great time, but the most important part was the food. It was wonderful! We had the chicken fried steak buffet and they were hot and cooked to perfection. So delicious! That is no... We chose this restaurant for making up for not taking kids for any weekend outing. This places has a poultry farm with horses and peacock was the limelight along with cute fat rabbits. Sweet potato with Martini turned out to be a good combination. We went Sunday evening for supper. ..not much crowd but decent place to spend time. They... More

They are remodeling now and have a limited menu, but the taste is still big. The weather was beautiful and the seating was outside. Several of us had the burgers and they knocked it out if the park (so to speak). One pulled pork sandwich was ordered and it was really good. We were looking forward to their Chicken Fried... More

Went to a birthday party for small children. They had a pony ride that the kids really enjoyed. The staff brought out a propane heater to keep everyone warm. The serving line had sliders, veggies with dips and chicken fingers which were very good. Look forward to coming back for some live music some time.

Description
Our story starts in 1985....Clay's Restaurant was just a small Ma & Pa's place serving comfort food off the beaten track of Clay Road and Hwy 6. Owned and operated by Houstonian Damian Seaback who set out to build Clay's into a great family restaurant full of fun for kids of all ages. Word soon spread about Clay's award winning burgers, chicken fried steak and comfortable family atmosphere. To meet demand Damian had to expand, adding quaint old school houses nestled among the trees at the rear of the property for separate function spaces. Clay's continues to grow and change, adding new menu items and features to improve the quality and service for their customers and friends. One thing will never change, though, and that's the family fun values that are the cornerstone of Clay's Restaurant. It's as much fun for the kids as it is for you, so pack 'em up and bring 'em on over! Kick back, grab a burger and a cold one. Each year we sponsor several sports teams and the Future Farmers of America (FFA). We also continue to make donations to area schools & churches.
