Cornbread is the star here replacing other, inferior, varieties of bread in a number of delicious sandwiches. The Stewp was quite good as well. Friendly and quick service.

My fiancé and I come here every year for our anniversary and we tried this place out today! We will be coming back next time! We got the Redneck, the Texan and the chicken and dumplings and it was amazing!! Waitress was so sweet and amazing and she was the only one serving the entire place. We'll definitely be back!... I was impressed with this little kornbread shop. We stopped in for lunch, and I have to say that it far exceeded my expectations. The cornbread was so delicious. I will most certainly be going back!

Popped in for a late lunch. They were closing in fifteen minutes yet treated us as if they had all the time in the world. I had the refneck and oh my God what a treat! I had it on the jalapeno cornbread which is not nearly as spicy as you would think and just added a great flavor to... More

I was very happy to have gotten in the door just before they closed. This place is well worth leaving the main road, US 59, and driving in to the main street of Jefferson, TX. And after you have some good food here? Drive around the local streets and have a look at some of the fine old houses.

Growing up in The South, I had never heard of a cornbread sandwich so just had to try it. It was absolutely delicious and so different. Can't wait to try to copy it at home. My husband was leery of this, so he ate the chicken and dumplings. He cleaned his bowl and said they were just like his mom... More

We always stop into Kitt's when in Jefferson, if not for lunch, then at least for dessert. This is a seat yourself restaurant. It's very casual & has that small town, diner feel. (Think Luke's Diner from Gilmore Girls) Good food & quick, attentive service.

I'm glad I read someone else's review that the Redneck (fried bologna on plain cornbread) was the star of their table, because it was on our table as well. It's not what I typically order, but based on his recommendation we all three tried it and all loved it! The cornbread is really a hybrid of bakery bread and cornbread,... More

We really enjoyed this restaurant. We were looking for something different and the cornbread sandwich was just perfect. My husband and I had the Texas sandwich and our friends had the Original. It was flavorful and warming on a cold December day. We played the Christmas trivia they provided. We all enjoyed it and laughed. The buttermilk coconut pie was... More

Had a delicious piece of chocolate pie with coffee for an afternoon treat and we loved it! Service was excellent and price was reasonable. Make sure that you get the scoop of ice cream with the pie - delicious!
