I have visited the Stag a number of times for Sunday lunch and each time the experience gets better than the last. The meat is cooked to perfection and the veg is presented just right, rather than a mush as you get in so many...establishments. Special praise goes to the stuffing balls which were home made and delicious. Stuart clearly takes a great pride in presenting the highest quality food. I will definitely be visiting againMore
Thought we would try the pub for breakfast. Very warm welcome. Ordered the medium English breakfast Really enjoyed the meal very well cooked and no hidden extras. Juice tea or coffee included. Very good value for money. Definitely will be back.
If you are in the area this is a great place to stop. Nice beer, nice staff and cracking food. The Sunday lunch is perfect.
I was at The Stags Head Pub in Westbourne on Friday 25 th August with my husband. We shared some Nachos and I had the Butterfly Chicken meal too. They were cooked by Stuart Webb, and were very tasty, and well presented. Well worth eating...at the pub. Very friendly customers and staff. Anita and Stuart make their customers feel very welcome, as do the bar staff too. We would advise others to use the pub too. There is also music from singers from time to time too. We'll worth visiting.More
The Stags Head, Westbourne is a very pleasant friendly pub. Anita and Stuart are very welcoming. My husband and myself shared some Nachos tonight, and I had the butterfly chicken meal too. The meal was absolutely tasty, well worth the visit. We also had a...couple of drinks too.More
Fabulous dinner, vast menu selection. The Sea Bass was delicious. Highly recommend a visit, lovely atmosphere and great service to go with great food!
Warm welcome Lovely pub dog Amazing food at a good price Could easily spend a Saturday or Sunday at The Stags Head as it also has good sports coverage
We had a wonderful experience when we booked a table in the beer garden for our family and friends on the bank holiday weekend. Stuart and Anita could not have made made us more welcome. We were a party of 9 with 3 generations and...all really enjoyed the marvellous Sunday carvery which was hot, delicious and really high quality. They offered generous portions of Beef (my favourite), lamb and turkey with plenty of sides and gravy. Stuart was kind enough to make my eldest son a cheeseburger and chips as he’s not a fan of Roasts which was not on the menu as it was a Sunday. We spent many hours enjoying the sunshine and lovely drinks.More
Fantastic carvery, welcoming staff and owners, great atmosphere! Really lovely, family run pub in the centre of the village, nice garden area and generally lovely experience!
We went here for a 50th Birthday celebration and had a wonderful meal. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We took our own birthday cake in and they accommodated lighting the candles in the kitchen and bringing the cake out etc. The food...was very nice, your typical English pub food. Thank you for a lovely evening xMore
We recently held a private function at The Stags head , Stuart and Anita where amazing from the moment of booking . The buffet was amazing with lots of positive feed back from my guests. All the bar staff were polite and welcoming. I couldn’t...have found a nicer venue. ThankyouMore
Excellent, their Sunday Carvery is up there with the very best. As well as the lovely food, local ales and delicious desserts, you can be assured of a friendly welcome from all the staff (and their dog).
This place is ideal if you want atmosphere, excellent service and a menu that suits everyone. Choices are varied and competitively priced, all delivered with a smile.
I had an incredible game pie (thanks Carol!) and a couple of lovely local beers. Everyone loved their food. A really nice pub with friendly service. A proper family owned pub! Superbly coped with our group of nine - thank you!
