I had a great lunch here on the way out of town after a long week of work. You're welcomed like one of the family as soon as you come in the door. That hospitality continues throughout your stay. I wouldn't hesitate to order anything on the menu. Save room for dessert!

I travel to Lubbock 2-3 times per month and always eat breakfast at the Cast Iron Grill. The food is really good and moderately priced. The people who work there are very friendly and engaging. They also make various kinds of pie/pastries that are really good as well! Definitely stop by if your in town!

The food is wonderful, the staff is so very polite and make you feel welcome. Love the outfits and the inspirational messages on the walls. The homey feel make your meal delightful. Get there early before the pie of the day is gone. Only open from 6 am -2 pm.

Went there on a weekday at 11:00 am. Plenty of seating available. When we left at 11:50 it was about full. I had the chicken fried steak with okra and onion rings. For me the onion rings may have been the best I have ever had and I like onion rings. Steak was good as was the okra. Sweet tea... More

The staff and food are excellent here! The Chicken Fried Steak, Mashed Potatoes and the Green Beans Rock. Don't miss the fried okra if you can afford the extra calories.

Comfort food heaven! No healthy eating here. It's not open for dinner, which is a real shame as it truly is one of those finds unique to Lubbock.

We were passing through Lubbock and went here based on excellent Trip Advisor reviews... some things were extraordinarily well done, but over all, the entrees were average. Positive- the desserts are excellent- and big. Get an extra fork and split a piece of pie two ways. The daily special (King Ranch casserole) was good- and the chicken tasted like it... More

Read up and did my research. We visit Lubbock twice a year for Tx Tech home games traveling from Ft Worth. I'm very picky about setting the right mood for Gamedays. Our lunch special of Meatloaf made the day perfect! Did I fail to mention the Jack Daniel's Pecan Pie? The friendly staff, home style atmosphere, and great tastes will... More

Had a great lunch... chicken fried steak...and fast, friendly service. We didn't save room for dessert, but the pies looked sooo good. Our family that lives in Lubbock says they are delicious and sell out quickly. The staff and owners were super nice. Nice country décor.

Thank Roxanne M B
