I had the chicken fried chicken while my friend grabbed the chicken fried steak. Both were amazing. So nice to have incredible home style cooking. My daughter wasn't so impressed with the enchiladas...but they don't sell themselves as a Mexican restaurant. Yummy, filling comfort food. Ate it for lunch with a slice of pie and had no room for dinner!

The line was outside the door when we arrived! We waited about 20 minutes for a table. The food was very good, the waitress was very proficient, and was very attentive to our needs. My eggs were done just the way I like them. However, my Texas toast did not have real butter spread on it. There was no jelly/jam... More

The Blue Bonnet Cafe was recommended for the pie which was absolutely fabulous but we found the food to be excellent. Portion sizes were more than ample. There must have been a dozen choices of pie. We each tried a different one and shared so we could decide which we wanted to bring home. The choice was tough but the... More

We stopped in for dinner at Blue Bonnet Cafe. The portions were very large and the prices were reasonable. I had the pot roast, which was very tasty. My husband had chicken and dumplings, but thought it was a bit bland. We shared a slice of chocolate cream pie, and that was the best part. The service was very good.... More

We did not eat lunch here, but we stopped for pie. The pies were delicious. The merengue reaches to the sky. There seems to usually be a line. We drove by a couple of times before we stopped. The line wasn't too bad when we stopped.

Great town diner with real people and feel good food. Cash only, line out the door so be prepared and patient while you take it all in including the pie specialty showcase.

The Blue Bonnet Cafe has been around since the 1920's, the atmosphere is a quaint and no-frills diner and kind of like stepping back in time. It's a regular pie heaven with blue plate specials, everything they serve is simple but done extraordinarily. The staff makes you feel at home like you eat there every week, even though I was...
