We had a very nice dinner is this restaurant. The beans with partridge were excellent. The pisto was quite good as well, and only the sopa castellana was a little bit worse than expected. My sweet-toothed partner said that "arroz con leche" was very good as well. The waiter serving our table was very nice, informative and spoke good English.... More

We had dinner here and really enjoyed our food. The local wines were good and value for money - a bit different from the normal Rioja. The staff didn't speak lots of English - but they were willing to give it a go and with a smile. We also stopped for a glass of wine and a tapa at lunchtime,... More

Great food and very friendly staff. The lighting, however, was a bit stark. If they put candles on the tabes, they would raise the experience so much!

We were positive about La Murilla during our first visit, and much more positive after the second meal. And I need to correct a few things. First of all the waitress is the owner. Second: do not only go for the set menu, but eat a la carte, big surprises like the pate and their fish. Third: not only good... More

The lunch we ate here was good, slightly better than average. Some of the wines were interesting, particularly the one from the winery of the husband of the waittres, a local 100% tempranillo. Pleasant atmosphere.

Just like your mom used to make...if you're fortunate enough to have a Castilian mom who cooks good! Great local fare from a family restaurant serving great value just across the street from the Parador and three blocks from the Plaza Mayor.

I've been to the restaurant for a few times and taken friends from different parts of the world and they all agreed with me: the cooking was great, typical Spanish food, the service was also great and the place is just according to the food. I will surely repeat it again.

I started with the soup of the day, while my wife had a salad. The soup was excellent and comes in a big bowl. The salad was main-course sized and was also excellent. We then had two seafood entrees which were both very well prepared and very tasty. The proprietess was charming. The price was very good!!

Rather than eating at the parador itself we walked across the street to a very small local restaurant. We both had seafood dinners which were excellent. My starter was the soup of the day (yum!) and my wife had the mixed salad (huge and very good). The food was local cuisine and was superb, but the best part was the... More

More
