We ate here many, many years ago when it was a Michelin three star. It is now "only" a one star, but wonderful. Nice courtyard to have your aperitif prior to meal. Our menu had multiple appetizers, entrees, formages and desserts to chose from. They paired each course with a wine to complement that selection. Service was wonderful; very attentive... More

We chose the cool interior of the plush restaurant over the pretty terrace only because it was an extremely hot day. The room is beautifully wood panelled and very elegant. The lunch menu offered 5 choices per course and it was very difficult to eliminate any item! The dishes were stunning-exquisite sauces, packed with so many nuances of flavour and... More

We stayed in the hotel and ate at the restaurant. Food was excellent and plentiful. The wine list was interesting. The staff were pleasant and helpful. An enjoyable experience.

Ever since I watched Chef Michel Husser beat Chef Sakai during Iron Chef, I've been dying to try his cooking. After all these years, we finally got to. I was surprised at how comfortable the dining experience was, to be honest. The restaurant has a comfortable feel, not too stuffy. And although my French was terrible, one nice server in... More

Lovely nibbles with drinks. Good, unhurried service. The French make you feel well cared for without rushing your meal. Lovely meal and good selection of wines. If Le Cerf was nearer we'd be back like a shot

Le Cerf is very pretty coach house at the northern most part of the Route des Vins .. it is run kindly and efficiently by a staff who are clearly doing their best to please their customers be it in the hotel, in the restaurant or both, as was our case. We had ample space in our room which was... More

The night we ate at the Le Cerf it was not much more customers there which made us feel like it was a privat event for us. All the waiters and other personnel tried their best to serve us in English as we unfortunately don't speak or understand almost any French. We ate a fixed menu with wines the friendly... More

One Michelin star and fully deserved. Perfectly prepared food, a lot of small dishes in between the menu, very traditional, but good products and a lot of love in the kitchen. The winelist is extensive with a lot of very interesting wines. Set aside good time to look through it. PS: Try the red Albert Mann - its fantastic

I have been coming to this restaurant for many years and you will not be disappointed with the service or the meal. The family run restaurant/hotel is wonderful with great American-style air condition in the hotel rooms. Many places in France do not have the same quality of air condition that America does, but this hotel does not dissapoint in... More

Did you know "Le Cerf" means Deer? It does! A local established restaurant in Alsace, old fashioned but with a quality you can trust. Very traditional in fact, with a cuisine several time congratulated by Le Guide Michelin. Don't look for extravagant, keep standard in your Menu choice but choose Game (small or big) during the hunting season! Get a... More

Almost straddling the Alsatian border with Germany, you can almost see the land and the buildings change here in Marlenheim. The exterior of celebrated local restaurant Le Cerf could indeed be in either country, its flower lined walls an almost theme park take on Bavarian architecture. But step inside and the sleek, sophisticated dining room really couldn’t be more French. The monochrome scheme is straight of a Parisian style magazine while wood panelled walls give the room a chateau feel. The menu, designed by chef Michel Husser, who has trained in restaurants worldwide, gives a modern interpretation of local Alsace cuisine and manages to be both inventive and faithful at the same time.
