Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stopped here for a coffee on our first day in the mountains. We sat outside and the coffee was really nice, service was good and toilets were spotless. Just what we needed.

Very busy but still quick service with amazing views. We were lucky enough to sit outside so great views. There is inside seating should the snow get heavy.

Extremely rude front of house staff. The front podium with numerous signs indicated that the toilets were for guets only and many more instructions. The staff to attend the new customers was away from her post, and I failed to read the preliminary signs. To...which I was escorted from my empty table back to reception to ask if I could speak English whilst the lady in question laughed in my face. My worst experience was in nearly 40 years with any interaction, and I am a GP.More

Things change, not always for the better. That said, food’s fine for a side of ski slopes restaurant. We were there many times in the past and will probably go back. But not the same friendly experience.

Only stopped for a coffee and a drink between ski runs and was very reasonably priced for such a good location. A coffee and a genepi were around EUR7.

Crepes and fries good - staff rude and owner even worse. The staff were rude to our friends, I dared to ask if a table was free and was scolded like a child and told to stand to one side and wait and I heard...the owner telling off another group because they had a more people join their group for lunch than they originally asked for. Unless you want to spoil the joy of a good days skiing, go somewhere else (just not trappeurs, the kiosk man is horrible and nasty)More

A totally humiliating experience. Tried to get attention of numerous waiters/waitresses to order some drinks. Finally managed to flag someone down, to say we had been waiting a while and wanted to order. She sarcastically and aggressively told me that her team were great and...that I should go somewhere else, I felt totally humiliated and was shocked at how rude she was. Will definitely not be returning. Such a shame as the others seem very nice and the food/drink is greatMore

We went for lunch for the second time in the week we are staying in Avoriaz. Food is quite good, a little expensive for what you get but then so is every other restaurant in the village. We requested a table for 3, myself, my...husband and daughter. We had been trying to contact my other two daughters to meet us but we couldn’t get in touch with them. We decided not to wait any longer as we didn’t think they were coming and we had a lesson soon afterwards. When we were seated by the window we could see our other 2 children appear at the top of the button lift. We waved and they came in. Unfortunately they did not make themselves know to the head waitress at the entrance which I was not aware of and sat at our table which seated 5. The said waitress then came to my table and shouted at me in front of all of the other diners that I had requested a table for 3 and now others joined and customers were waiting etc. It was humiliating and totally ruined our meal. It was not planned, the children turned up without telling me at which point I couldn’t turn them away. We had not ordered at this point and they took seats at my table so didn’t bother anyone else. I will never return.More

The bomb. Been here several days in a row on two ski holidays, this on at Christmas and the previous at Easter. Having skied and snowboarded for over 20 years all over Europe and the states, I’d say this is one of the best spots...I’ve been to. Not sell-a-kidney expensive and great service. Location is perfect. We’ll be back.More

Very disappointing visit. Ordered a family meal and half the order never arrived. I chased it with the waiter and he was sarcastic. When he finally brought the next meal out, half our group had already finished and it was barely warm- seemed like it...had been sat waiting- meanwhile our wauter was standing having a cigarette!. The order was 2 meals short overall. Then he said they had run out of the pasta meal we were waiting for! Waiter said "its not my fault"! Unbelievable. Ruined our family visit.More

We visit here every year and it consistently produces fun times and good food. The service can be a little moody at times and it can seem a little short staffed. Overall worth a visit

We went there to grab couple of beers. We had to wait a long time before being attended by a waiting staff. We finally got our 2 beers but one glass was chipped. I managed to hand back the chipped glass to the staff. As I...was doing so I followed her inside the bar and was surprised to see the barman pouring the beer from the broken glass into a new glass without checking if there was any pieces of glasses! Not mentioning the shrugging shoulders from the barman. Right being the Yety, there is quieter bar with a terrace where the staff are more friendly and professional.More

Yeti is efficiently run and the waiters are so resourceful, professional and always in a good mood. Food lands on the table very swiftly. There are vegetarian options other than the omelets

Le Yeti. What can I say. After a serious morning ski, the ultimate pick-me-up is a yeti sandwich (baguette, raclette, smoked ham) and chips with a bottle of rosé. Other good dishes include their crêpes and tartare de boeuf. We visit every time we come...to Morzine-Avoriaz, and we ate here 4 times on our recent visit! For us it's perfect. Has sun, good vibes, good food, good drinks, good staff, and enough of a buzz from nearby Folie Douce without the pretentiousness. Merci beaucoup! Nous serons de retour.More
