Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had a great evening with some excellent Savoie food. The truffle fondue was one of the best we have ever tasted and the raclette and traditional accompaniments were very good as well. Didn’t think we had space for dessert but still managed some profiteroles and...a chocolate fondant. The Colonel, generously doused with vodka was a great option to get digestion going! The staff are very friendly and made us feel welcome. Would suggest booking especially if you want to find a place at the first evening sitting.More

Small, but cosy restaurant in the heart of Avoriaz, focusing on Savoie specialty dishes (raclette, fondue,... all things cheese). The chef is a fan of 80-ies and 90-ies music and will occasionally crank up the volume a bit which gives a very good ambiance. All...products are good quality. Would recommend!More

Great food and friendly helpful service. Lovely atmosphere. We didn’t book and got a table very quickly. We will return.

Delicious local specialties, several choices of raclettes, choices of fondues and selection of pierrardes (Pierre Chaud). Hot stone cooking. Amazing puddings. The best meal we had in Avoriaz. Book ahead as very small but busy and fun atmosphere

Average food. Expensive. Chaotic atmosphere. Too busy! Nothing special. Small and hectic venue. Not enough room. A couple of diners had their food placed on a low chair beside them as there was not enough room on their table. A bit rude.

Given the hype on TA and given it is the #2 restaurant we booked it after trying desperately hard for several days. They do 2 sittings 730 and 930pm The fondue and raclette looked nice and if that’s all you want then I’m sure you...will be happy BUT we have eaten soooooo well in Avoriaz and this was our worst Meal. It was all so so but massively Overpriced for what it is We ate at La Reserve, La Cabane and La Falaises All knock spots of this place. Don’t get me wrong the food is ok but should be 50% of the cost!More

We went for a dinner at the restaurant with my friends to eat typical French food, especially the fondue. We were firstly seated at high tables but really wanted a table near the window, 10 minutes later we were offered a table next to the...window. :) The service was good, the food was very good and the owner of the restaurant is very friendly. The dinner turned into singing and dancing at the end, and it was a very nice and warm feeling of home. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you want to experience France and its restaurant experience via the real and authentic way. :) We went there on Friday.More

I had the magret de canard which was average, something anyone could have made better at home. For 31 euro I received 1 Margret, mushrooms that weren't ceps as advertised, and a small portion of ravioli (however the ravioli sauce was well done). Fair to...say I was still hungry at the end of my meal. At these prices you should expect the food to taste better than the competition, or for there to at least be generous servings.More

Has the most amazing piece of Tuna here, as a non meat eater it can get a bit repetitive in the Alps- so this was much appreciated. Gratin side instead of chips was great for the kids. Service was great and lovely Rose- would highly...recommend,More

The place was very difficult to book and seems always full. However, personally thought it was a bit overrated. We order raclette. The cheese was huge! We knew we’d never finish the whole thing. It was very tasty still. But what bothered us a bit...was the breakdown of the ventilation on the day. The place was filled with smoke from The kitchen. I wasn’t able to open my eyes towards later. The service was a bit arrogant, kind of we are what we are type. All in all, food was tasty but not remarkable. Service can be greatly improved.More

We were a group of 3, with an early booking (7 pm), warmly greeted and service went at a good pace and was very friendly. Don't be put off by other reviews that say reservations were made and tables refused. This can be a very...busy restaurant at times...when you call to reserve just ask if your booking is noted. Our group enjoyed their Argentine steaks :) Early seating is more relaxed, second seating can be busy and noisy and is good for those that like a more party atmosphere!More

Superb restaurant, highly recommended and with good reason! Wonderful local dishes including raclette and fondue! Speedy service, friendly staff in spite of how busy they all were and great atmosphere! I went for an Argentinian steak, which was delicious! The ice-creams were amazing! My husband...chose la Coupe Avoriaz with a lemon sorbet covered with genepi- a local after-dinner drink. Wouldn’t have missed this restaurant for all the tea in China!!More

The food here is beautiful. Very unusual. The music is also great, so much so that most of the clients ended up dancing after the meal.

Despite the very variable reviews we decided to give this a try for dinner. We were a party of 10 with 6 adults and 4 children. We were given a nice circular table which was ideal. Service was quite prompt and we were well looked...after. 7 of us had cheese fondue and 3 of us tried the Stone grill. This consisted of beef, chicken and bacon to cook yourself on a heated stone grill. It was accompanied by French fries and salad and was good fun and a tasty dish.More
