Try the El Rey. 1/2 pound burger, cooked to order, caramelized onions and tomatoes, cheddar cheese, avacado and jalapeños. Get a top shelf margarita and enjoy!

Amazing chips and salsa. Mains were okay. We were a large group, so we waited for a while for a seat (which was fine). Friendly staff.

Our arrival in Gruene was late in the evening around dinner time and we were not in the mood for overpriced food and a long wait time at the Gristmill. We did a quick search on Google maps and discovered this Mexican Cantina in walking distance from the center of town. We easily walked to the Cantina with no more... More

My cousin and I had lunch at this restaurant this week. I had been wanting to try it for a long time but during the summer tourist season all the restaurants in Gruene are very crowded with long wait times. Fortunately since it was mid January we were shown right to a table in their cozy dining room. Since this... More

They coin themselves on great fajitas and margaritas - a great margarita is FRESH ingredients. They could not make me a skinny margarita because they "use a mix" Had fajitas here a few time and every time they are super dry. Not impressed

Enjoyed the enclosed patio seating, with an open feeling, but not cold on a chilly evening. The chips are unusual, not regular corn tortilla chips, but very crispy and bubbly, with some seasoning. One of us can't have gluten, and they happily brought her some regular corn chips which were also good. The special house hamburger was delicious. Everyone else... More

Ordered the shrimp tacos. Had been told they were good. My first question when my plate arrived....where's the shrimp. I had three small (very small) shrimp in each taco. Disappointed. I will say, the chips and salsa were good. My husband did like the enchiladas.

The service was good, the margaritas were good, the chips and salsa were REALLY good! The beef fajita nachos were not good. They literally had a tiny piece of fajita meat in a mound of refried beans and cheese on top of chewy stale chip. I do not recommend the nachos at all. And, there are lots of bees!

This cozy little restaurant is directly in the wonderful town of Gruene. We ate lunch there, after we walked trough town. The restaurant itself reminds me of a treehouse. It's all wooden and not too large. Service is alright, food is very good. They brang as so many Nachos with delicious sauce! We also liked the main courses and it... More

We stopped here for some tequila then decided to eat a late dinner. Their fajitas were very good! My wife had their fish tacos and loved them too.
