My husband and I traveled to Rockport with another couple for a fishing and kayaking holiday in February 2017. We had a wonderful dinner at Shempys Grill and one of their local customers told us about the Boiling Pot. I love cajun/creole food so this was a must stop for me. The menu is quite simple and there was more... More

Food was over boiled. Corn and potatoes had picked up spice from fish party...made it unpleasant to eat. Decor was terrible. Wait staff though very friendly...price is okay.

My husband and I love this place! The staff is great, and the food is awesome! My favorites are the boudin and the crawfish! We make sure to come here every time we come to town!

Arrived about 5pm on a Tuesday. There were only a few people in the restaurant. The restaurant has a rustic, kind of "run-down" look inside. This is definitely not fine dining, but I was not expecting fine dining. We were seated immediately. The waitress was pleasant. She laid out butcher paper on the table, explained the menu, and took our... More

The Boiling Pot is an amazing, laid back restaurant that has delicious crawfish! It is a little pricey so I wouldn't recommend coming here if you're not trying to spend a lot of money because it can get expensive. Regardless of the price it is a popular place to eat with locals and also huge with tourists. Once you get... More

We came here on a Monday night. Pretty slow night. We ordered the Dungy Combo as they were out of Blue Crab when we arrived. We added a pound of crawfish. Our food arrived hot and full of flavor. But the best part was the food being poured out on the table. We were given wooded mallets and you can... More

Menu declares it has a variety of seafood but no clear pricing on the menu. Offers odd mixtures of seafood/food on an off-menu card : potatoes, sausage, shrimp, snow crab, crawfish, Alaskan king crab, "one" blue crab, etc. at various high pricing. Very little of this is local seafood. Doesn't give pricing for example for just boiled shrimp. Brought me... More

I was surprised by the decor. Very relaxed. My wife and I shared their signature meal that is boiled together with Cajun spices. Really good corn, potatoes, blue crab, shrimp all dumped onto the butcher paper on your table. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Had I not previously read reviews, this doesn't look like a place I would have gone... More

Some of the shrimp was mushy. We had group of 8 and several in our group had mushy shrimp in the mix of potato, corn, crab, shrimp. Also corn was a little to spicy. Service was good, Margaritas were Good. Atmosphere was as expected, rustic. Might try it one more time.
