I love this place for Bfast, it's a tie between this and Roxie's for the best breakfast in town. Everything on the breakfast menu is wonderful. Lunch however was disappointing. The fried chicken was perfectly crispy but completely unseasoned. The fries were mushy and the BLT was boring white bread with only 2 pieces of bacon. The pie is AMAZING... More

Sad that this place is as low on the list as it is = this is a great place to eat! The people are always friendly, the rolls are AMAZING!!, the portions are large and everything is homemade = which is a nice change in San Angelo's fast food demographic.

Well this homey place has been around a long time..really good specials and great desserts. The beef stew is fantastic! We also loved the onion and tomato salad. The banana pudding was a killer. Yum! Staff very friendly and food is reasonably priced. Only thing missing is sweet tea... enjoy!

This place needs a good cleaning. Everything was grimy. Waitress was sitting on bar stool texting on cell phone. I had to walk over to her and ask for beverage refill. CF was so tough I couldn't eat it. Fries were ok. Salad limp. When waitress ask, she was told the food was pretty bad. She responded, we'll do better... More

This place should be on the historical societies roll. I have eaten there since I was a small child and never have been disappointed. The service is fast and friendly. The specials are very good and sometimes they sell out... I can;t say enough good things about this landmark.

No way. Cousin talked me into going here...said it was the best hamburger in town. Not hardly. Burger was big but no taste. Certainly filled me up, but very average at best.

My mom had come to visit and several people had told me how good the food here was. We wanted to try somewhere we hadn't eaten yet and this place came highly recommended so we gave it a try...boy were we sadly disappointed!!!! My husband and I tried the chicken dry and it's the worst in town in my opinion.... More

We've been by here several times over the years, and the food is always great no matter what it is that we've ordered. If you're looking for a high-end atmosphere in a restaurant, keep searching. This is the classic American diner that hasn't changed all to much since my grandparents starting coming here when they were young. The food is... More

I went in the Dunbar for an early dinner. Got the special, which was chicken fried steak, mashed potato 4 different veggies, and rolls. I modified my order just to the chicken fried steak and had onion rings with it. Unfortunately, the CFS was just about as good as I can do at home, and the onion rings, although good,... More
