We had dinner again this evening. They change their menu every month. This month they brought back their Peasant Chicken, which is excellent. I believe the owner told us that there are over 20 spices in the seasoning. We also had the Beef Tenderloin Stroganoff, which was extremely good. We would highly recommend both of these.

We had a larger group (10) and they had a back room that worked out really well. The food (I had wonderful scallops and a "poor man's risotto" that was better than any real risotto I've ever had)...After, a pumpkin cheese cake that was excellent as well. Great service and a nice arty atmosphere. Even our traditional steakhouse colleagues loved... More

We have dined at Peasant Village on many occasions and never been disappointed. Chef Jason's tenderloin, seafood and desserts are delicious and the atmosphere is comfortable and casual for a fine dining restaurant. I highly recommend it!

I have not had dinner there yet, but their sandwiches at lunch are outstanding. It doesn't matter which one you order, they are all great! My favorite is the Reuben just because I like Reubens ha!

I can not tell you how amazing this food was, along with a staff any 5 star restaurant dreams of having. My fiancé and I had the waitress Angela and she was wonderful. I traveled from Pennsylvania to visit my fiancé who is in the AirForce down here in San Angelo and we went out to peasant village for my... More

One of the best restaurants in San Angelo. Chef and owner Jim is a local, providing personal attention to all of his guests. Food quality, seasons and flavor are exceptional.

We arrived right at opening and were greeted by our friendly waiter. Right away the owner/chef greeted us with a warm handshake, stated his appreciation for our visit. Our experience just went on up from there. We had onion soup, spinach salad, Blue Marlin, rack of lamb, and Key Lime pie. The Chef personally brought out a sample of the... More

Peasant Village makes the best sandwiches in San Angelo. I highly recommend the reuben sandwich and the french onion soup.

I've seen this place for many years and had never stopped here to eat. Having some time by myself, I decided that it was my lunch destination. I could hardly find a parking space, and people were coming out looking satisfied or carrying take-out packages. I was told to take a menu and go to the order line...where the people... More

This was a recommendation and did it work for us. Jason and Kevin were just great for service and explaining the choices. The Duck, onion soup, spinach salad and creme brûlée were superior. Everything was perfect, from the living room setting of a converted house to the quality of the fresh local ingredients. Enjoyed by all.
