My husband took us to visit his college town in San Marcos and we stopped in with the family. Service was good and the food was very tasty. Nice, laid-back atmosphere. Perfect college town restaurant. Advice: try the gigantic onion rings! You won't regret it!

Food and service were great and prices are cheap. For the three of us and a dessert it was still less than $30. Just make sure you're not put at a table next to the door leading outside. The waitress passed by every 5-10 minutes and we learned to hold on to our napkins after the first few times they... More

I met my college friend for lunch to kickoff the new year. Absolutely the best broccoli cheese soup I have ever tasted! Whenever I go to a restaurant for the first time, I always like to try menu items they put their own name on, or advertise as homemade! And the broccoli cheese soup was fantastic... thick but not gooey,... More

Took the kids after a zip line trip in Wimberley on a Sunday afternoon. Started off with the onion rings since that seemed to be the thing to do. They were ok. Not a bunch of flavor. My son and wife had their "world famous" hamburgers. Both said they lacked flavor and were far from the best burgers they have... More

Fair service, good food. I had the chicken strips with honey. My family enjoyed a variety of the vegetables offered. All were good. I found the portion sizes to be large. Glad I went.

Visited my daughter in college there. She wanted to eat there. Not bad and cheap. The chicken fried steak was the recommendation of the waitress. It was a good portion for $9. I do recommend it.

We are at Grin's Restaurant on Saturday November 12th for Lunch. We had chips and salsa for appetizer, very good salsa. 3 of us had the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and macaroni, all enjoyed very large chicken portions. My 8 ounce sirloin was overdone I asked for medium well. Atmosphere was good we liked all the natural light... More

this place to me is the very definition of okay. I like it, I eat there, but it is never the place that you are " craving" I like the patio, although the scenery is marred by what seems to be endless construction. The drinks are cheap and not the best, but a great value for the dollar for sur.

I use College delivery and they delivered. My favorite is the Black Angus steak with salad and mashed potatoes. The ranch dressing is out of this world. Delivery charges the same exact price with just a small delivery.

Had lunch at Grin's last week with friends. I won't make that mistake again! Grin's seems to specialize in frying food in old, heavy tasting grease. I had a chicken fried steak that was barely edible because it was almost nothing but fried, greasy crust. And very disturbing as I cut into the meat I found what was either a... More
