Really good oyster Rockefeller, didnt care for the ceviche and I have tried it everywhere on the island, peel and eat shrimp special was a great deal, but we also had the new orleans and they were very hard to peel and messy, would not get them again. Fried shrimp and fish looked great but we did not try on... More

Very casual atmosphere. The peel and eat shrimp were excellent and the fried shrimp were tasted too. Fries are great. Must be dirty als spice mix that does the trick.

Average beer list, box wine. Food was very reasonable. We lucked upon a special of 1/2 lb peel and eat shrimp for $5! Shrimp was good, as was the blackened calamari. There is a small fish market here too.

We hadn't been to Dirty Al's in many years but when we had company and took them to the Island Dirty Al's was our first choice for lunch. Between the 4 of us we had fresh oysters and Cajun shrimp as appetizers and then fish and french fries, a sampler basket and a sampler po boy. Everything we ordered was... More

Dirty Al's was recommended to us by a 15 year visitor to the island. She and her husband stay here for three months each winter. We were not disappointed. The location is on the Bay/Marina side of the Island at the very Southern most access. The exterior is simple and hand painted. It's much bigger than the front facade suggests.... More

This is a very casual restaurant at the south end of SPI. It is not at all fancy: you're eating on paper plates with plastic utensils. However, the fresh fish and seafood need nothing more for a really good meal. They have a different spin on Oysters Rockefeller that was good but unexpected. Otherwise, there's no fancy sauces just fresh... More

I thought the food was great. I don't care for sea food but friends wanted to go. There were plenty of other selections for me and all the food was great plus reasonably priced. Good service. Couldn't ask for more.

If you are looking for great seafood on the island at a reasonable price with good service, this the place. It's hard to please 10 people, but we all agreed that our food was great. The grilled shrimp was superb, the fried drum was tender and flaky and the one non-seafood fan got a huge, delicious burger. The sides of... More

About Us
Dirty Al’s has been in operation since 1986 and has always provided the freshest seafood to thousands of visitors from all over the world.
As a family owned and operated business, we have always taken great pride in taking care of each customer and providing them with a unique experience that they can only get from eating at Dirty Al’s. Dirty Al promises every customer that they will only be served the absolute freshest seafood caught in the wild off the Gulf of Mexico.
A Father and his Sons Make a Great Team!
Alfonso Salazar, better known as “Dirty Al” originally started shrimping as a young man with his father and 6 brothers. In 2003, he and his youngest son, Cameron, who graduated from Culinary School, transformed his bait stand into a restaurant where together they have been known for having “The World’s Best Fried Shrimp”! In 2005, his other two sons returned home to help grow the business. To this day, they now own 6 restaurants on beautiful South Padre Island and continue to bring only the “best” Gulf Seafood to each customer’s table.
