Good food, more mexican style. Steak handcut quite expensive. Service is sometimes too slow but people are nice and smily. Nice decoration.

We visited this place twice, first time the meal was tasty, second time both meals needed to be returned. Had their award winning Chile but was disappointed... manager was extremely eager to please us, but difficult when the food is cooked and kept in "warming trays" and my second serving of chile was smaller since it was the "last they... Ate here after hiking in Big Bend all day. Had good food, cold beer. Looks like it's set up for live music, but none was there that night (a weekday I think).

I have eaten at the High Sierra Bar and Grill twice. The second time I brought my son and daughter along for the ride. My son loves the award winning chili. We sat on the roof top to get the awesome views of the ghost town.

(Warning: Young adults from Central Florida visiting for the week) You could tell this is a gathering place from all the random faces who had planted themselves in the shaded, patio seating and where just chatting, or working on their computers, or reading a book. SIMPLE, BROWN FOOD By ‘Brown’ I mean not lots of Veggies. Nah- you’ll see Burgers... More

Located in the El Dorado Hotel in Terlingua Ghost Town, we decided to give this restaurant a try as we did not want to wait 90 minutes to get seated at the Starlight Theatre and were very glad we did. We were seated promptly and service was timely throughout our meal. The food was very good and they have a... More

The restaurant is located in the El Dorado Hotel. After a morning exploring the Terlingua ghost town we stopped in for a late lunch. There is seating inside and outside. We sat inside and I ordered the Polo Loco chicken sandwich with fries and ice tea. My wife ordered a house salad. One of our friends ordered the chili which... More

We spent two nights at the nearby El Dorado hotel, that has the same owner, so we had dinner here twice. Food: Very good, mostly meat. They claim their Chili won competitions and I believe that: it's really good. I also loved the Chicken Fried Steak, which is a steak covered with a sauce of cheese an pepper. Customers: A... More
