In this world we live in it's getting extremely rare to find a place as friendly as this. This was our first visit and the lady taking our order was very patient and helpful helping with our decision. They understand customer service. The burgers were good but the shakes are fantastic. They make their own ice cream fresh everyday. Definitely... More

Been seeing this place on the circle since they invented bread. Traveling north this weekend and decided to stop and put in an order. It is a hamburger, no more no less. I would say that it might be a click above average, but wouldn't fight over it. It seemed a little on the pricey side and is not real... More

We relished our cheese burgers, onion rings and that fresh made shake! This place has tons of charm and very welcoming staff. Like a burger joint from the 1950's and indeed it is!

Health Camp has been a Waco staple for decades...and looks it. Tucked away as it is on an old-fashioned traffic circle and overshadowed by more modern chain restaurants nearby, it would be easy to pass over the little rundown burger joint, but that would be a huge mistake. Make the stop, forget your cholesterol and dive it - you won't... More

Coming from an epicenter of "upscale burgers" (Dallas), this was a welcome throwback for me. No "locally sourced," "made from scratch" toppings. "Onions or no onions," is about as complicated as it gets. The burger was tasty. The fries were hot. and the jukebox was 99.9% country music and .1% classic rock. An added bonus: the traffic circle totally freaked... More

Variety of malts/shakes is why we still stop here along with 35 years of tradition. Location on the circle and old-style look keep alumni coming back

Usually a great fresh burger. The bun was cold and the meat was a bit chewy. They were very busy so I think our food was rushed through. The fries were hot and very good. Will wait awhile before we go back.

As an Australian this is what i expected the USA to be. Burgers, shakes and a fry up. I Can only speak for the shake and tator tots. The missus had a butter pecan shake and i had a choc strawberry shake. Both 10/10... but they aren't what aussies call a milkshake. More of a thickshake. Never the less amazing.... More

My family ate here for lunch while driving through Waco. Health Camp is a part of Waco history. I think the nostalgia of it is the main reason people eat here. The burgers and hot dog we had were good, fresh and served quickly. The fries were pretty average. They could have used some seasoning and were a little undercooked.... More

This is my kind of health camp! Greasy burgers and fries and tots and shakes done right!!! The burgers were some of the best old time diner burgers I've had in a long time. Great flavor and nicely done. Even the lettuce and tomato were fresh and pretty and flavorful, which is a rarity in diner burgers! The tots were... More
