Made a day trip to Waco. Salsa was great as was the peach tea. Very cozy farm feel. This was a great place to eat! Would definitely go back!

This cafe is a little bit of a haul from Waco but well worth it. We stopped by expecting just lunch and got a great experience! The food was fresh and delicious! We also watched a blacksmith make nails. The gift shop is full of homemade crafts. Highly recommend!

We have been to the Cafe a dozen times over the years, and the food i always excellent. Call ahead to avoid the lines. Everything on the menu is great, and the deserts are decadent. I love the sweet potato fries, chocolate cake and the sorghum pecan ice cream. While you are there be sure to visit the artisan village.... More

This place was outstanding ! We had the Pastrami sandwich, Quesadilla burger and a regular burger. All were great. Also took home a slice of coconut cream abs carrot cake. Everything is organic and most of the products are grown at the property.

Delicious farm to table food! My husband had the 1/2 Reuben w/ sweet potato poblano soup & I had the "special" turkey on cranberry walnut bread w/mushroom barley soup. Pumpkin cake roll & coconut pie for dessert -to-go since we were too full. They literally raise the turkey & beef on the farm on-site, grind the wheat at the grist... More

In the past 6 months we've been to the Waco area twice. We've had an excellent lunch both times with great service, delicious food and an overall pleasurable experience.

If your visiting Waco you MUST stop by to try this place out. This is one of my most favorite places I've have ever eaten at. Everything is made fresh daily! You can taste the freshness in the food. I ordered the monterey melt with poblano soup which is the best soup I've ever had! My husband had the guasadilla... More

Had a great lunch here, even though we can driven there for a late breakfast. Breakfast is only served on Saturday so plan accordingly. Everything is grown and prepared from scratch. A little pricey, but we had a nice relaxing lunch.

We visited Waco for a one night stay so we could visit Magnolia Farms, like everyone else! I read reviews of Café Homestead so we planned to have lunch on Saturday there. We were not disappointed. My husband had the hamburger and I asked to have a grilled chicken burger, which was not on the menu. No problem. Both of... More

Cafe Homestead serves deliciously healthful food in the unique setting of a traditional craft village in our sustainable, organic farming community. We offer grass-fed beef; fresh buns, bread and rolls baked daily from whole-grain flour by Artisan Oven; cheeses produced by our community’s internationally award-winning Brazos Valley Cheese company; and other fine foods, including our all-natural, delectable ice cream. Our fruit and vegetables are always fresh, and we strive to provide locally grown produce. Begun in 1994 as a small deli, Cafe Homestead has grown to become a restaurant serving over 45,000 guests a year and is widely known for its menu of traditional Texan, Mediterranean and specialty cuisines. Before or after enjoying a relaxing meal served by friendly people from our farm community, visit our craft shops, Gift Barn and Model Homestead and take a Hayride to our scenic overlook.
