It is almost a secret- down a stairwell with a small sign. The first time I went there was in the summer- they stayed open late for me since I was "running late" on my trail run. That is what kind of place this is. Kevin and the staff make you feel like family. Since that first visit I have... More

Fantastic sushi and traditional Japanese fare with a twist in a funky downstairs room. Can get quite loud depending on the crowd. Waitstaff, cook and ownership are friendly and happy.

We ate here for lunch this time. I love this place. It's simple but very cool. The kids adore it and its a fun experience. Like fondue but better. Service was excellent and it is not pricey for what you get.

Tried to go to two of the other Sushi places on Main St, but they were closed, so in desperation we tried Shabu. I couldn’t bring myself to order too much as the prices were just extraordinarily high. For example, the Pot Stickers are $14. Even with “Ski Season Tax” that’s over the top. I’m not sure what kind of... More

Ian gave us good service. The food tasted good but it is way overpriced for the plate. The signature plate offered 4 medium shrimp and salmon the size of a deck of cards and a small bowl of rice for $35.00. Two small servings of tuna sushi for $10.00 and a Philly Roll (6 pieces) for $12.00.

Food was good. Service was friendly but a bit slow. The restaurant is small and was crowded. We felt cramped. We were sitting near the rear, and the back door was opened several times sending in a rush of cold air. Even for Main Street, this is an expensive restaurant.

Should definitely get the hot rock and honey roll was very good too! Customer service was very good. It's a popular restaurant so be sure to book in advance-

There are so many positives about Shabu that it's hard to know where to begin. It occupies a small basement space decorated with wonderful metal bas reliefs of fish and dragons, plus other artwork. Although the tables are packed in snugly and the restaurant is loud, it's easy to hear the rest of the people at your table (surprising acoustics).... More

My husband and I recently ate here on a ski trip last month. The place had a local feel and was packed with people. Get reservations early! The sushi was awesome and the portions were big. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Shabu is a small, cozy and noisy restaurant, down a flight of steps. The chef's special sushi rolls are larger than the usual rolls. I had the nitro roll which had a great coconut wasabi sauce. I also had a spider roll, which was very good. The sake martinis were nothing special.
