Gift certificates for local restaurants are always fun to get as Christmas gifts. This year we received two of them for the Tavern. I hadn't eaten at the Tavern for years so was looking forward to see what I was missing all this time. My wife and I decided to use one of the certificates for lunch the other day.... More

The atmosphere is perfect for a quiet evening. The wait staff is friendly and very helpful. The fire place made it ever so warm and inviting.

Good place. I had the duck tacos and they were excellent! Not busy at all. Maybe it is because is election night and people are depressed and not feeling good about the choices we have. I also had the Long Trail Ale...good beer.

I had booked the Colonial Motel and Spa for a spur of the moment Fall foliage trip and this restaurant is attached. Arriving on a very rainy Friday after 6 hours of driving I checked in and wanted to dine on-site. This pub atmosphere restaurant had its large hearth fireplace on, and so, I had a nice drink and dined... More

Very friendly staff good range of food and beer, good quality - went twice. Small outside area but near to road so not really an option. Siting inside was very pleasant, nice surroundings in good order.

Ate here twice on recent stay at adjacent Colonial Motel & Spa (highly recommended for good value). Restaurant not so much. Meat loaf sandwich was a little odd tasting. Second try was the shrimp scampi which they bill as 'Amazing.' Well, I was amazed. Four(?) fine large shrimp not fried in butter and wafting garlic aroma, but rather served in... More

Walked in on a dreary Saturday afternoon after a long drive for a bite and a drink. What a great surprise! The food was really good, and there was a fun selection to choose from. I had a delicious Sauvignon blanc, and the chowder really hit the spot. The waiter was great, too. What a terrific find!

We were surprised about the food. It was very good and some of the dishes were even somewhat upscale. But the prices were reasonable and the place was small and not fancy. It can't go wrong stopping here.

We were there in the middle of the week so it was almost empty. I was dubious because it is nothing much from the front. Inside there is a bar area with some tables and a larger dining room in back. Menu had bar fare but also some finer dining options. I ordered fried brussels sprouts for an appetizer and... More

I had a late dinner here, and was impressed by the selection of local brews available. The Tavern has a copper bar... I've never seen anything like it. The food was good, and Dave, the bartender/server, managed to give everyone service with a smile.
