This is a relaxed, family run restaurant, that is affordable, and has authentic Korean food. I like their many freshly made vegetarian options.

We have been going to the family owned Korean restaurant Shin La for decades, but have NOT been lately. Although the menu has expanded and changed a bit since our last visit, it is good to know that the food is still excellent! We tried the Teriyaki Tofu for the first time and it was superb. For old time's sake,... More

I've been going to Shin La for 20 yrs., my husband even longer. The Korean food is made by a Korean woman and her staff. The quality has never changed, always excellent! The soups have a healing effect, specially in the Winter. The appetizers are great; Yakimando (dumplings), Steamed Tofu, or Edamame (salted green soybeans) to name a few. Traditional,... More

Unusual for a small town in Vermont to have a Korean restaurant. For 30 years this family has run this business. I think it is genuine. I know it is delicious. The hot noodle soup makes me swoon. I have heard rumors they may be thinking of retirement. I will be truly sad if this place is no longer with... More

Best place in town to grab a saki and some sushi. Good service, authentic food, mellow atmosphere. Try the bento box.

This restaurant in the center of Brattleboro has an extensive menu of Korean food, plus a wide variety of sushi. The service can sometimes be slow, but the food never disappoints.

This place was a total failure are far as the food is concerned. My beef dish was tough, over cooked, and tasteless. The rice was cold and served in a lump. My wife's chicken fried rice was terrible. But, the beer was cold. However, they short poured the wine. The service was OK and the place was as nice as... More

Rainy nights in Brattleboro are perfect for a visit to Shin La. I've been eating here since the 80's and while service levels go up and down, the food is consistently delicious and made with care. Dining with no children recently we devoured the shrimp dumplings, the vegetable tempura, and a few other apps. We then demolished a few plates... More
