Penny Cluse is one of our favorites for breakfast in town. The specials are great, but I almost always order my favorite eggs with biscuits in cream gravy. The staff is friendly fast and efficient- you never have to ask for a coffee refill. On weekends get there before 8:30 am - otherwise the wait is very long - the... More

Today was our first time eating at Penny Cluse. I suspect the extreme cold kept our wait shorter than usual, just 15 minutes or so. I had the smoked salmon on buckwheat pancake with capers, diced red onion, and chopped pickles-yep-along with a generous dollop of sour cream on top. All these flavors cooperated and contributed beautifully to the smoked... More

Amazing food. Apparently, there's always a long line, but it's definitely worth the wait. We had pancakes with Real maple syrup, tofu scramble, and a British breakfast. Good coffee!

Four of us had breakfast here on Friday morning, December 30th. We only had a 20 minute wait - amazing. Everyone had something different and everything was delicious. The omelet was amazing, corn muffins fabulous and great coffee. Service was exemplary!

Penny Clues is a lovely charming little restaurant. Five of us were seated and served quickly and food portions were generous and savory. We especially liked the biscuits and gravy and the tortilla soup special of the day.

Get here early, like 9am, otherwise you will most likely wait. The food and service were about average. The eggs and bacon were a little undercooked and the special pumpkin bread french toast was a little too sweet for my liking, but I enjoyed the bright, bubbly atmosphere.
