I have been a regular customer of Mio since they opened several years ago. The owner/chefs, Beverly and Leo are extremely concientious of what they serve their customers. They serve locally raised meats that are humanely raised, as well as locally prepared breads and grown vegetables. As for their seafood, I have never had anything but the freshest piece of... More

Nestled along scenic route 30 in the picturesque village of Dorset, Mio Bistro offers a small but creative menu. Food is carefully prepared and attractively presented, with surprisingly large portions. Sitting outside, under twinkly lights, on a summer's evening is utterly relaxing. Picky eaters might find the menu challenging; call ahead to find out what's on offer.

We started going to this restaurant when it was still in Pawlet and gladly followed it to Dorset. They have interesting food, much of it local, some prepared with Asian influences and a good selection of fish. The menu has about eight aps and eight main courses but there are always several wine, drink, appetizer, and/or dessert specials. The wine... More

The restaurant has a hip decor and an eclectic menu. A little continental, little French. A little Thai. I had a delicious beet, nut fried goat cheese salad, and snapper with coconut, curry over veggies and rice. After discussion with waitress had spicy peanut sauce on side. good thing, too spicy for me. My partner went French with very good onion... More

What a lovely restaurant in Dorset. The food was fabulous from start to finish. The salad with tiger shrimp and avocado was excellent , as was the salmon as a main course. The chef, Leo, is clearly passionate about his recipes and cares about his diners. The menu is original and all ingredients appear to be as fresh as can... More

Had a delightful meal here. Great fresh salads and soups for appetizers. Scrumptious mussels, steak and an amazing Thai snapper dish over wild rice. Ended with perfect chocolate lava cake. ALso, it was my dad's birthday and they gave us his cake on the house which was very nice. Attentive service. Lovely dining experience.

Food is very good and wait staff is friendly and does an excellent job. Menu changes to take advantage of ingredients being available on a seasonal basis. Mussels are very good and broth goes well with the Rupert Rising bread. Very nice wine list. In warm weather outdoor seating is a pleasant choice.
