The Storm Cafe is a hidden gem in Middlebury. Chef Talmage is brilliant and the menu shows it. Although this place is small, the staff manages it well and caters to its customers with skill. Hands down the best place to eat brunch in Middlebury. Every time I eat here, I feel like I should be paying more. I would... More

This was our first stop after arriving in Middlebury for the wknd. We got there just in time for a late lunch (also serve B & D) & sat on their picturesque, outdoor deck. They offer 3 combos - I had soup & sandwich. Soup du jour was Corn Chowder. A cream stock w/bacon & fresh spices. Very good, but I... More

What a great little spot in a scenic setting. Food was very good, as well as awesome service. And the walk to and from was very picturesque.

We stopped for breakfast and they didn't disappoint. We had the special omelet (tomatoes, spinach, mozzarella) with home fries and great toast with bread from a local bakery. Loved the decor and oil paintings for sale that hung on the walls. Wish the weather was warmer so we could have sat outside, although other heartier souls did.

We almost didn't hike down the hill to this restaurant as you have to go down the hill and turn the corner to find it. Don't give up if the windows look dark in the old mill building, as the restaurant is on the other side! We were so glad we found it. The food was terrific -- I had... More

This is in the bottom area of the old mill, overlooking the creek. We ate here twice it was so good and convenient and not expensive. We had lunch here our first day, and then dinner here our last nite. The homemade butternut soup was the BEST I have ever had. We ate on the deck, which was decorated with... More

Very pleased with my first experience. After a short wait, we were awarded with an outdoor table overlooking the creek, very peaceful. An excellent joice of lunch specials. I thoroughly enjoyed the pumpkin soup along with the sliced steak wrap, both freshly made and equisite. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Will be returning often.

A pleasant surprise with funky interior colors but seriously good food at good prices. It looks over the river with outdoor seating. There is a full bar. The succotash app with spicy chile sauce was awesome. Local mushroom risotto was excellent and it was made without cheese for us. The starter bread was delicious and made fresh daily in house.... Came here for dinner with a group and sat on the outdoor patio on a lovely evening. It's right on the river and very picturesque. I had the Caesar salad which was very good with lots of Parmesan and crispy croutons. The risotto I ordered with chicken added and it was a perfect risotto. It is one of the best... More
