I've never been to the Wayside for their family style dinner but I have had many a good breakfast there. I'm a big fan of a good old eggs, sausage, and home fries breakfast with lots of coffee and the Wayside delivers! Old style booth seating adds to the dinner atmosphere and their prices are very reasonable.

This is the place to go with the family and for seniors. Big portions, home style cooking. A sense of a real Americana. Good food and friendly, long term staff. Love this for BIG breakfasts.

The carnivores in the party fared better than the vegetarians, and the food actually wasn't great. The desserts were amazing however which kind of made up for it. Huge portions.

Dinner on a Sunday Night. Had the beef vegetable soup with fresh yeast rolls. Turkey dinner with squash and cole slaw. No dessert. Food arrived quickly. There was a line and a short wait..

If your have read Blue Highways by William Least Heat-Moon you will understand the importance of local use of restaurants represented by the number of local business calendars. This restaurant was recommended to us by the night clerk at our hotel who uses it every day for breakfast. We ate dinner and tasted different styles of cooking with local maple... More

My wife ordered fish. It was cold when delivered to the table and the restaurant was not very busy. She asked that they put it in the microwave and bring it back hot.

This was the first time we had been to the Wayside as a family for a while and unfortunately it was disappointing. The experience was not anywhere up to my expectations or my prior experience. The seafood dinner and clam strips did not have much flavor and the green beans seemed like they came out of a can. It was a... More

Limited handicapped parking but parking lot is huge so you will find a place to park somewhere on the lot. Access Entry is good, but be prepared to stand/sit in line as this is a very popular place with good home-made food and lots of it at very reasonable prices. In fact, if it's your turn to pick up the... More
