Excellent food and drinks. Quaint New England Inn/pub atmosphere for fall leaf viewing season. We are a Black family and we felt very welcomed. The food was excellent. New England themed menu was delicious and portioned.

Molly & Dom are wonderful innkeepers and made our bike group feel so welcomed! They served a delicious dinner (even though they were closed to the public that night)!

The salmon cakes are especially good. Mashed potatoes could clog your arteries, but worth it:) Not a big menu, but something for most tastes. A cozy, well run and welcoming spot.

Stayed a night here on an Inn to Inn bike tour. We stayed in the old sheep barn (wonderful accommodations) and had a delicious local dinner and breakfast.

Shoreham is a little town near the ferry to NY state. We've passed the in several times but never stopped in. Our mistake. The beer selection is limited, but good, and they have a good wine list. We had appetizers and dessert which were outstanding. The bannioff pie was rich and delicious and more than enough for two.

We will eat at the Shoreham at least once a year, most likely in the winter. Why you ask? There is a large stone fireplace with a roaring fire and winter nights in Vermont can be cold! So the ambiance is wonderful, and then you add the food and without a doubt you have a wonderful combination for a delightful... More

We stayed in the Inn, and then walked down stairs for dinner (rather than driving somewhere), which is always a treat. We choose a table on the very pleasant outdoor deck and started with wine. We were pleasantly surprised by the list of wines by the glass and especially reasonable prices, We chose a New York Finger Lakes Riesling at... More

Description
U. K. Pub serving good food: A place to get modern comfort food in a casual pub setting; a laid-back place where reservations aren't needed, but sharing tables may be required; you might just have a drink, maybe a nibble, or perhaps a three course meal.[ Late 20th century. Formed from gastronomy + pub. ] The 'gastropub' has become a common experience in England and Dominic and Molly had an idea it just might work over here. While we never could h ave predicted how well it would go, or how readily the locals would pitch in with quite so much good will (and dishwashing) when we needed it most, it only proved our point and makes it all the more pub-like for it being run in a sometimes haphazard, though always friendly manner. Please see the Welcome page for the links to a few very nice mentions in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and The Boston Globe.
