The place is small and has a rustic atmosphere. It was my first time trying a taco, so, I am happy that it was good. The pork was tender, but I wish it had spent more time on the grill. The veggies tasted fresh and crunchy. I would have preferred "hierba buena" instead of coriander, but, whatever. Overall, a dish... More

The Mad Taco is small and rustic. The children in the family really like it. We went for dinner and ordered a number of different dishes which we shared. The children got the child's quesidellias. The have squeeze tubes of sauces with names and numbers for degrees of hotness. They have a good selection of local beers on tap.

My son really loves this place - going there after skiing at Sugarbush. It's quirky, fun and serves interesting tasty food - not just tacos; also burritos and other Mexican type food. But, it has a distinct West Coast flavor - not very Mexican - but very tasty and large portions with spicy sauces. You really shouldn't miss going there.

We were told about the Mad Taco by a local skier while at Sugarbush. Decided to give it a try on our way home. It was certainly busy and bustling. Everyone in our group of 6 ordered something different and while we all enjoyed it, I have to say it was good but real, authentic Mexican fare. It was more... More

My son and I dropped in to the Mad Taco and felt a funky vibe instantly. He ordered a chicken burrito and I had the fish tacos. The Tacos came with lots of fresh cilantro and limes. Yummy!

Rustic authentic Mexican fare in the heart of the Mad River valley. Mostly locals, some vacationer/homeowners. Food was excellent, all locally obtained products. Not inexpensive, but worth it! Great local beer on tap and very good, hand mix margaritas. Would go back!

I really wanted to like this place. The other reviews were so positive I thought we couldn't go wrong. Well, joke was on us. How is it possible for tacos to be dry while literally swimming in oil?? We ordered fish tacos, carnitas tacos, and chips with guacamole. The only edible bit was the guacamole, which, lets be real: its... More

I am not writing 'War and Peace' about this place. In short the Tacos are fantastic. Lunch at this place was recommenced to us by the nearby Tucker Hill Inn.
