The Village Pub in downtown Wilmington provided a festive and friendly atmosphere for our New Years Eve. Short on pretense and long on smiles, both the owners and patrons were great. They even provided complimentary champagne for the ball drop. Our visit rates as 4+ stars - we will be back next time we are in Wilmington.

Very friendly place, several of the locals dine here (or drink) The food wasn't anything to write home about but I did enjoy the atmosphere. You know you're in a bar where the patrons like to drink when there's a handle on the wall to steady yourself above the urinal. 🍻😜

Although the Village pub does do food we enjoyed it as it was the only real drinking bar in town. We did have the Fish & Chips on the Friday which were standard fare, we also had the chicken wings on 50 cent wings night and they were very good. The girls behind the bar were all very friendly and... More

While we love that Wilmington now has a nice selection of upscale eateries, it's nice that a true local bar has survived. It's not much to look at, so very few tourists make their way into the Village Pub and that's a shame. It's a real bar... with locals gather at the bar, a pool table off to one side,... More

We were not sure of this place as we were advised it was just full of locals but thats what we like going to places and meeting new people and characters. I can honestly say we had a ball and met some fantastic people who were very interested in finding about Scotland and why we ended up in Wilmington! If... More
