I'll start with the ambiance because that's what I love most. The building is beautiful, inside and out...built in 1907 as a bank during the highpoint of American craftsmanship, now restored and converted into the coolest restaurant ever. I would call the architecture "red brick Greek Revival" with some very clever but respectful modifications. Take the time to inspect the... More

Had an amazing dinner ! The food portion was just right and the food itself was amazing! Not fancy at all, casual dining. The dining room is in the old bank vault which was very cool!

Four of us took an impromptu Girl's weekend in Cape Charles for New Years. Everything about the trip was perfect and we fell in love with the town. Spending New Years at Kelly's could not have been better. We had no idea what to expect, but were open to any experience. WE WERE BLOWN AWAY. We went in for an... More

I have been to the Gingernut Pub more than a few time and have always had a blast with the owner, Gene and his local friends. My girlfriend, Chrissy and I make it a point to stop in to Cape Charles whenever we are down that way just to see Gene. My food and service experience has always been great... More

Ate at the bar since bars typically have the best service. Ordered the house burger plus Cod fish& chips, which my wife and I split. The flavor for both items was outstanding. Fries were plentiful and habit forming. Wine pours were generous and the draft beer selection was rewarding, but not overwhelming. The Black and Tan I had was splendid.

Just a great spot! Kelly - in spite of being a New Yorker - is a terrific guy. I almost got him to cheer for the Cubs as we watched 'em win the World Series at his bar. VERY good food at a reasonable price. Jim (I think that's right) pours a good drink. What more can you ask for... More

Pub atmosphere with good food. Busy and plenty of locals. Quite a wide menu with a lot of choices. Well worth a visit.

Not a lot of local seafood on menu. Oysters on half shell were good. Mussels in wine with jalepenos came with half not open. Lamb burger good. Crab cake not even up to average and served with a tomato slice with a big core. Poor showing. F fries were good. Craft beer selection ok; nothing special. Atmosphere was good. Nice... More
