Use to live and work closer so we eat here a lot. Now I only get to eat here a few times a year. This is some of the best Tex-Mex I have found in NOVA. My wife and I love Tex-Mex And will try any and all of them. This is by far one of the best we have... More

The food at picante is pretty standard latin american fare. Tacos, burritos etc. The food is reasonable without being out standing. There are both some vegan and vegetarian choices but not a lot. There are also health options such as healthy buritos etc which was very nice and makes it a cut above other lain american restaurants. The restaurant has... More

I just never got the appeal of this restaurant when so many others are around for better price, service, and quality. Just my 2 cents worth. Others love it. It's average for me.

We visited Picante for the first time for dinner. This restaurant was selected primarily because they take reservations. We had a family dinner of 10 people, and were concerned that we could just walk in at 7 PM on a Friday night. They had our long table all set up and ready for us. The menu is very diverse. The... We have been going to picante for years. Their restaurant Is nice looking and service has always been good. Salsa is a little too hot for me, but I'm sure it is fine for many. Burritos are my favorite. I like them deluxe and wet. Translation stuffed with lettuce sour cream and tomato. Wet is with a topping of sauce,... More

Let's face it, there are plenty of Mexican and Tex/Mex restaurants. Most are good, some are very good. Picante, however, is excellent! Everything on their menu is superior to what you have had at other places, but we always seem to get the Fajitas, mixed chicken and steak, as good as it gets. Plus the serving is Huge and the... We took our one year old son and noticed almost every table had kids. Very family friendly, friendly staff, fast service, great food. I can't have dairy and their menu was marked with G (gluten), D (dairy), V (vegetarian) for those with diet limitations. The menu had a huge selection and the restaurant was clean and well decorated.

The chips were stale. The black beans were dry, the salsa was too spicy. The enchilada was a chicken enchilada and was bland. The waitress was not very attentive and we waited for about ten minutes before she refilled our water glasses.

Kind of a hike for us to get out there but worth it. Been here a few times. Each time was very good. Food seems to be fresh, unlike the larger chain Mexican restaurants. Traditional Mexican fare that is "homemade". Enchiladas and chili rejeños are very good and note worthy. Service is nice and friendly. Prices are similar to the... More

We have been going to Picante for years, and the food is fantastic every time. Great fajitas, burritos and tacos...attentive staff and Margarita Mondays are not to be missed.

Traditional Mexican fare offered backed by generous-sized portions! Picante! The Real Taco is also the spot to be on Friday nights, when our tequila lounge continues to be transformed into a salsa dance party starting at 8:30!
