Nothing fancy, you'll have to go elsewhere for designer donuts. Still my favorite. Closing at the end of the month unless someone steps up.

Arrived at 8:45am and there were, luckily, only ten other donut fans in line ahead of me. Only the blueberry was available at first and several customers waited for the next batch of glazed donuts to come out. When they did the line was very long. But it is worth it because spudnuts are great. Very light and uniquely tasty... More

Lots of great lessons were learned from the Great Depression of the 1930s, but nothing compares to donuts made from potato flour, and that's the secret success of Spudnut donuts. You can find these delicious donuts in Charlottesville, just a block away from the historic downtown mall! Unfortunately, it was announced that this small slice of palate paradise will be... More

Located not far from the Downtown Walking Mall, this is the place for the best homemade donuts in town.

My wife and I stopped at Spudnuts prior to visiting Monticello. The donuts were light and very flavorful. Thank God we don't live in Charlottesville, because we would weight 500 pounds each because of them! They are a very popular place, with a constant line of customers while we were there enjoying our breakfast. And we can see why with... More

An institution in Charlottesville and deservedly so! I'm of the opinion that potato flour makes everything taste better and Sputnuts proves it's true with donuts.

Best donuts ever! Made from potato flour. Light, delicious. My fav is the blueberry spuddie. Get there early, because they start baking spudnuts at 5 in the morning and people come from all over to get one. They might run out if you wait too late.

Forget fast food donuts, forget Duck Donuts, forget all the fad "sh.t" donuts out there. These are the best ever. The staff are fast and friendly. Sure its not pretty but it's local, its quaint, and the donuts don't leave by the bag they leave buy the boxes! I usually got a couple for the nurses at UVA when I... More
