We went to Fardowners on a Saturday hoping to have brunch. Sadly they only serve brunch on Sunday, but happily we decided to stay and had the most delicious Mac & cheese, tilapia sandwich and crisp, perfect French fries! All in the quaint little town of Crozet!

Visiting Charlottesville area we were told about this great restaurant. When you arrive the place is very unassuming, but, food is really good. Service is friendly, helpful, and happy. My husband and I returned a couple of times. I believe it is a place that the locals spend much of their time at. That is always a good sign. Cannot... More

Every time we've been there, the food was great. The local beer and the friendly staff makes it to a very good restaurant. We come back...

Hole in the wall pub. A local recommended it for a quick lunch while on a road trip. Good food. We had homemade minestrone & pulled pork sliders & salad.

The fish tacos, burger, and home-style mac and cheese were delicious, but what really stood out was the excellent service and the feeling of community we received at this small restaurant. Everyone was extremely welcoming and friendly. We will definitely return!

For those looking for either a small bite or full meal supporting local producers, I highly recommend trying Fardowners. It is a casual place amid the row of businesses on the south side of the Crozet train tracks. We tried the mini burgers -- blue cheese hamburger and bbq sliders (both the lighter, tangy carolina style and the honey Fardowner... More

We went today, arriving on the tail end of brunch and we're lucky enough to grab the last table in the place with no wait. My boyfriend had the fried chicken biscuit sandwich and LOVED it. I had the grilled cheese with tomato and grilled onion on a pretzel roll. It was pretty tasty as well. There was a good... More

Enjoyed our visit thoroughly. Highly recommend the steak on the Mandarin Spinach Salad. My mother had the chicken on the Mandarin Spinach salad but it was tough and slightly overcooked. The Fardowners Reuben was piled high with succulent meat and father raved about it. The waitress was pleasant and helpful. When I had trouble reading the beers on tap, she... More

Had lunch here on Wednesday and the greeting was warm and friendly. I tried 3 small sample beers to find the one I wanted, which was nice. We ordered honey sriracha wings, belle burger and buffalo Mac n cheese. All were lovely and can recommend the wheat beer!

Went here on a busy Friday night. Wait was 15 min or so. Service was a bit inattentive at times. Door was quality with good flavor. Loved the Hippie Wings. Basically, portobello mushrooms done "hot wing style". Super tasty. Not many choices in Crozet. This one is worth a trip.

At Fardowners, we provide quality pub fare & a welcoming casual atmosphere. Chef Mark Cosgrove sources local ingredients in season & our rotating selection of craft beer emphasizes Virginia breweries. Fardowners is a great place to take the family for dinner (our kids' Mac & Cheese is definitely the best around), or to come out with friends & enjoy our actively curated draft selection & live music on weekends.Fardowners restaurant takes its name from a group of Irish immigrants who labored for the Blue Ridge Railway Co. and helped construct four tunnels through the Blue Ridge mountains during the decade before the Civil War. Claudius Crozet’s remarkable feat of engineering took eight years and linked the eastern part of Virginia to the west. Opened to rail traffic in April of 1858, the railway was instrumental in putting the village of Crozet on the map. The old C&O Railroad depot can still be seen from the restaurant windows, across The Square on the other side of the tracks.
