Ok, I really had no idea what to expect when I came here but I ended up having a meal that to this day sticks in my mind as an unbelievable meal. The hot and numbing sauce with the combo was incredible! I don't think I've ever had a tastier piece of fish ( and I'm not typically a fish... More

I love some good Chinese food, particularly the spicy kind. I'm not from Richmond, but have been told this is the place for spicy! Went with a group of colleagues and we all ordered something different so we could share. I got the 3-pepper rated Spicy Szechwan chicken, which was hot but not 3-pepper hot. Other dishes included Bamboo Fish... More

Great, unpretentious place. Real Chinese food- no General Tso and broccoli in a puddle of soy sauce here. Very large and varied menu of delicious spicy food. The duck hit pot and fried eggplant are my favorites. If you don't enjoy heat and bold flavors skip this place if you do- don't walk, run here for dinner.

This is the second time we have eaten at this location. It's near the VCU campus and convenient when we visit our daughter who is a student there. First visit was for lunch in August and again Saturday night for dinner on Chinese New Year (Jan 28). both visits were very pleasant service and good food. They were very busy... More

Dry fried eggplant is terrific, as is the dry fried green beans. Bamboo fish , House Soscial Fish hot pot, Hot and Numbing Variety Hot pot. The lamb chops are the best!! Remember this is a Chinese restaurant, so each person doesn't need to order one dish. You can share which makes it even better for more than 4 people.... More

The three of us enjoyed our meals very much. The service was friendly and portions large. Peter Changs is worth the price. My only disappointment was that my request to turn down the Chile spice to 1 Chile didn't happen. ..it was too spicy.

The dishes are pretty spicy, and I like spicy food. But, even the spice can not cover the low quality of the dishes they serve. Last time my fish was not even fresh, I couldn't touch it. The service is terrible. I travel a lot around the world. And this place its own special place in ranking of bad service.... More

This place is the real deal. It's not the gross buffet type, massive portion type of Chinese food place. It's almost a little off putting because it tastes different from what you are used to. But, overall, we loved the food. The shrimp we had as an appetizer was wonderful. If you are looking for better quality, different Chinese food,... More

Wonderful authentic Chinese food. I had the Kung Pao chicken -- which never disappoints -- though glancing at the General Tao's chicken at the next table I found myself musing about a half and half!! Next time!

Awful spring rolls. Some of the worst I've ever had. Mushy and greasy and bland. Supposedly it comes in frozen and not made here. Okra was killer. So good I nearly creamed my jeans Grandma noodles were good. Double cooked pig belly was fine.
