I want to call out the young bar lady who so kindly went out of her way to lend us her jump leads to start our car -she really saved our day! Thank you

Delicious food, great service and a relaxed atmosphere. Although we were a large party, they weren't fazed by this; the service was exceptional. Because of the size of our party, we were requested to pre-order our starters and mains about a week beforehand, but this...was totally OK and completely understandable. In hindsight, I feel that pre-ordering helped make our visit so much more relaxed and enjoyable. In short, the food was simply delicious and beautifully presented. You need to give this place a try - it's a hidden gem! It was also spotlessly clean. We're definitely going back!More

Fabulous as always. The chicken breast was so tender and the steak and kidney pie was rich with gravy and thoroughly enjoyed by my partner. Great service from Maz and the team

The Woodman is such a joy. The staff are lovely, attentive and efficient. The food is delicious, well presented and reasonably generous. The atmosphere is perfect, as it’s fairly small and contained. I had the dressed crab salad. I always always have it, and thought...about trying something different, but this is so darn delicious it wins hands down every time. Looking forward to our return The Bread Sauce debate people.More

We booked in here for our annual Christmas gathering of residents who either live in or used to live in from Beeston Close, Dudley. We came to the same place 7 years ago, there were 8 of us then but only 4 of us this...time due to holidays and friends no longer with us, well what a fantastic meal, food was just sublime, service was excellent in a lovely room, relaxed atmosphere and a lovely ambiance about the place, and Envil Ales, maybe not leave it so long to return.More

It’s become a bit of a tradition for us to have our first Christmas meal of the season at The Woodman, near Claverley. The food and service were excellent - as ever. We’ve noticed a tendency for some restaurants to reduce the size of portions....NOT HERE! The turkey came with three vegetables and the usual accompaniments. A delicious Christmas pudding rounded things off. Go and visit. Have a treat.More

A hopeful and last minute drop in as I was passing with a friend… A lovely friendly pub with great food - and they altered a dish to meet my celiac needs!

I arrived yesterday for lunch and ordered a large glass of Merlot and a half of Diet Coke. I was charged on my switch card £14.45. When I questioned the price I was told I’d been charged for Malbec and not Merlot. I was given...a refund in “Cash” I have never had any refund on any purchase return to me in coins when it’s been paid on a card!!!!! Quite wrong. I ordered the loin of Lamb with dauphinois potatoes. The meal was not served with dauphinois potatoes but pave potatoes. I questioned the potatoes and the waitress told me that they were definitely dauphinois. Sorry - I am a foodie, I know my potatoes and they were definitely not dauphinois. The other members of the party remarked that the vegetables were undercooked and inedible. The lamb was tough and the whole course extremely poor. The waitress offered me an alternative but I declined.More

What a lovely experience, the atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing, the staff are friendly and helpful. The food well where do you start, full of flavour quality, quantity is excellent and cooked to perfection. I would recommend the black pudding or cowder starter. Steak...was divine and the homemade ice-cream was heavenly.More

We booked to come here again for a family Sunday Lunch. It'd been a while since dining at this restaurant, & I'm delighted to say that the standards are exactly the same as our last visit. From the selection of chosen Sunday roasts, to the...salmon fillet, were all very tasty & cooked perfectly. The staff were attentive & friendly, which made our whole dining experience here most enjoyable. We look forward to returning again in the future, . .. Thank You.😊More
