Visited the restaurant for Sunday lunch at Easter with my wife & 2 other couples. We've eaten here on numerous occasions over the years & generally enjoyed an experience, which was a cut above the rest in North Wales. However, we were disappointed with the food we were served, particularly the main course - a choice of a roast plus... More

We are sorry you didn't enjoy your Sunday lunch. This is not what you said at the time. For the record, although you say it is expensive, we think £24.50 for a 3 course lunch is good value. Of course it is your prerogative to spend £70 per couple on wine and yes, it can then appear expensive. It seems... More

We had our Silver Wedding lunch and my 65th birthday dinner at Plas Bodegroes both within the last 2 weeks. All our guests thoroughly enjoyed such fine dining in a beautiful setting with exceptional service from Gunna and her team. In our opinion this is the best restaurant in North West Wales"

Delicious food. We ate here both nights of our stay and really could not fault it. The dining room was decorated with some interesting pieces of art and the service was excellent.

Enjoyed a fabulous meal at Plas Bodegroes on Saturday. Each of the four dishes were delicious served in a beautiful country house. The owner host and her staff were friendly and welcoming and made it an evening to remember. I would thoroughly recommend a visit.

We celebrated our 30th anniversary by staying at Plas Bodegroes for 1 night, including dinner. On arrival, the very friendly duty receptionist showed us to our room, and invited us down to the lounge for complimentary tea and bara brith. Lovely home made bara brith! That went down very well. Our room was up in the attic, large and spotless.... More

Together with 2 old school friends we visited Plas Bodegroes for Sunday lunch. We enjoyed a peaceful and unhurried time - the service was superb as was the meal. The portions, although on the small side, were more than adequate for the 3 of us. The food was well cooked, tasty, nicely presented, and reasonably priced. A thoroughly enjoyable experience and... More

Just returned home after a fabulous meal - perfectly cooked woodcock starter and the hake for main was equally as delicious. This was vintage Plas Bodegroes back to its best and the company wasn't bad either. Do not hesitate to book. Diolch Chris and Gunna.

Thus used to be, I understand, a very good restaurant but the owners have tried to sell it and failed. So they have a chef and front of hose as a husband and wife partnership who seem to be finding their feet and not yet totally settled, or so it seem. The result is a goodish restaurant but not spectacular.... More
