Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

DO NOT GET THE CRAB CAKES. So Much filling $40 is crazy for that. Everyone else’s food looked good. Prices are more expensive than online menu.

Don’t judge a book (or restaurant) by its cover. Located in an unassuming strip mall, inside you’ll find clean premises, excellent food, and good ol’ southern hospitality. Be prepared for huge proportions - you will not go hungry here. And prices are reasonable for the...amount of food you get and the fact it all tastes good.More

Just came from a delicious lunch at Halterman’s (formerly Seafarer’s). Terrific service, and everything was beautifully prepared. It’s obvious that they really care about their food and their customers. Can’t wait to go back!

Lunch on Sunday (formerly called Seafarers Family Restaurant). What we liked: 1. Plenty of free parking. 2. Clean, nicely appointed, welcoming dining room. 3. We were greeted courteously by friendly staff. 4. Clean restrooms. 5. Fairly broad menu for a small place. 6. Excellent seafood...chowder. 7. Perfectly prepared, generous Philly cheesesteak sandwich. 8. Courteous, attentive waitstaff. 9. Priced right. What we disliked: Nothing. Would we return? Absolutely.More

Love that we can have delivery however the coleslaw was awful! Not sure what to say about that. My chicken breast sandwich was awful. Take a frozen chicken breast then toss on a grill and throw some pepper on it and call it a day....Dry. No flavor. Like chewing rubber. The slaw looked like was chewed up in the processor.More

Our second visit since the remodel, Today it was for their Brunch, sausage gravy and biscuits, home fries and beignets, all excellent others had omelets, not a single complaint. On our first try it was fish and chips, more than it could eat and so...tasty, hush puppies IMHO didn't need any butter.Looking forward to eating there again, do yourself a favor and give them a try, it is a Family business so we need to let them know they are appreciated for their fine tasty foodMore

Hubs and I dropped in for lunch today-first time since the redo. VERY favorably impressed. I got one of the specials which was Portabella stuffed with crab.It came on a bed of mixed greens with a balsamic reduction and was absolutely delicious. The crab had...no cartilage but plenty of flavor. Hubs got the Fish and Chips which might sound mundane but was anything but! Generous chunks of delicate flaky white fish with a batter that was light and crisp and flavorful. Honestly, we stopped short of licking our plates but it was a struggle. And the owner Amber stopped by our table when I suggested to our waitress that they bring back their fish tacos (major yum). Amber was very friendly and open and assured me that the fish tacos will be back! We believe in supporting local businesses and it's good to know KW has an excellent option besides chain fast food & pizza.More

Loved the new decor. It was light and inviting. We were greeted and seated promptly. We went on a Sunday for lunch. The server was friendly and efficient . We ordered fish and chips. Really enjoyed our meal. Glad to hear we will still be...able to get crabs in the summer. They know how to do crabs . We order them in the summer and take them home to eat at the pool. The menu is not as extensive, but I am sure everything is delicious. Can’t wait to return and try something different. A great family restaurant . Wish them success.More

Had a craving for a really good seafood meal & decided to treat my mom & I to dinner here. All the food was just OK at best. Crab soup was cold & had several shell bits in it. My mom got the chicken sandwich...& it was inedible. She liked the chips though. I liked the hushpuppies. The fried shrimp was tough. The atmosphere is not up to par with the prices they charge.More

Everything I had on the broiled platter was delicious!!! SCALLOPS, SHRIMP, CRAB CAKE WAS a great, meaty mixture, white fish was lightly seasoned, oysters (not a fan of oysters, but these were good. The 2 sides were collard greens with a hint of sweetness and...hush puppies were a little sweet, just like I like them. My Aunt had the potato salad made with red potatoes and it had more a mayonnaise flavor, but really good also. You cannot beat this food, atmosphere and good ol' country music in the background. The wait staff was very nice.More

Today was my first visit to Seafarer’s but certainly will not be my last.We had made a reservation and arrived a little early. We were welcomed as we came in and our table was ready so we were seated right away. From our drinks order until the...end of our meal the service was excellent. We ordered a variety of food and everyone was more than pleased with the freshness and flavor of the food and also with the portion sizes .No one left there hungry that’s for certain. We were leaving as the dinner crowd was coming in but we never felt rushed to free up our tables. Top notch service, excellent food and family owned makes for a very successful restaurant .If you’re driving out 360 and have a taste for fresh delicious seafood at a very reasonable price be certain to visit Seafarer’s Restaurant & Market!!More

Ordered soft shell crab dinner to go. When I got home the meal was still hot and delicious. Had enough food for another meal. Quick service on a Friday night, too.

I took my mother on Friday for the early Mother's Day lunch to this restaurant because of the good reviews. We started off on a bad foot as soon as we walked in. The sign said wait to be seated. No one appeared to seat...us for several minutes and when she finally did pop her head out of the kitchen she yelled to us to sit in a "booth over there" and pointed. We hesitated because we did not really want to sit in a booth, preferring a table. She yelled again "right over there, sit in that booth". So we headed on over to the booth. She comes over the take our order and that was fine - she was friendly enough - we ordered the crab stuffed portobello mushroom. The menu did not mention that it had a basalmac dressing on top of it and neither did our waitress. I did not care for that and felt it was over priced for the size, but whatever. My mother and I decided to split a seafood platter. Portion size was great, the was plenty for two people. I bit into the fried shrimp and it tasted "off". Then I smelled it and it smelled weird. Mom said hers tasted weird, too. Scallops were not well seasoned. Deviled eggs, either. Oysters were ok. Hush puppies were the best thing on the plate, in my opinion. When the waitress asked how it was I told her about the shrimp. She sent her sister over, who commented that they'd sold a lot of shrimp that day and hadn't had any complaints. Ok, they open at 11:30. We got there at 11:40. There were four people there.... how much could they have sold and was that comment even necessary? I gave two stars ONLY because she did offer to fix us something else, and when we declined took some $$ of off our check. Or check was still over $43, so pretty expensive for an appetizer and split entree. I don't like giving negative reviews, but felt mislead by all the positive reviews for this place, which was the reason we went. I will never go again. On a side note, we went elsewhere for dessert and told the people in the bakery where we'd went for lunch. They stayed shaking their heads immediately and commented "that place is NOT GOOD," so we aren't alone in how disappointed we were. They said they felt the food was poor and it was overpriced.More

One of those little places that looks plain in a plain strip mall but where you’re glad you tried it. Great crab cake sandwich. A little higher priced but worth it with great fries. Very nice server-made a fresh pot of coffee for me!
