Recently traveling along 81 and wanted to meet some friends where I would not get too far off my route. We opted to meet by the VA Military Institute. Since there was a football game going on we noticed the restaurant was not terribly busy. Lots of interesting sandwich offerings, but I loved that I could build my own sandwich.... More

We went for dinner and we're seated immediately. The menu is very large. The sandwiches are the specialty. Portions were large and the prices very reasonable. We had the chicken Mac and cheese (big portion), salsa con quest, fried pickles and 2 sandwiches I can't remember the specialty names. All very good.

The food was amazing and the staff was great. In a nice area of Lexington. Enjoyed our meal and actually recommended to guests at our Shenandoah B&B

It didn't feel very clean. Tables were sticky, menus too. The burgers were large and surprisingly good. We waited a long time to receive our check, one of us at the table had to search our waitress. Not really the best Lexington has to offer.

We are from PA and my granddaughters other grandparents met us in Lexington as they are from SC. What a cute little town and the restaurant was very good. I had a Rueben and fries. The environment was very nice and the waitress was friendly. Our food came out quick and the visit overall was very nice.

Macado's has a menu literally as long as your leg! They are predominately sandwiches, wings, burgers and the likes. But Macado's does them well to say the least, everything from specialty clubs, steak sandwiches, fish and wings and the other bar type of offerings. They have a fabulous potato salad, so get this as your side. Not if you order... More

I often eat here when I'm visiting. Food is good, great place to hang out with friends. Love sitting on the porch and people watch.

Macado's is an across the board five star restaurant, especially for the prices they charge. Let me do a comparison and contrast. Spend eight to ten bucks at a fast food place or Macado's for lunch, which one would be better? No contest. Yes, really, you can enjoy a fabulously delicious sandwich and side at "Do's" for the same price... More

Basic college town restaurant and bar. Staff is friendly and atmosphere is antique and unique. Very casual and an extensive menu of bar food.

Old style tap room downstairs and some outdoor seating. We went on a Saturday, there was football on the TV and business was brisk. Beer list was good, the Reuben was delicious and the wait staff was attentive despite the crowd.

Thank Frank C
