Shakes were great! Old fashioned and waitresses friendly!!!! We ate here while staying at the Oak Tree Inn which is right next door and Penny’s is so conveniently located.

We met family here while they were eating a late breakfast. We had already eaten, but sat with them and enjoyed a cup of coffee and sweet tea. Family got a delicious omelet, pancakes, nice crisp bacon, etc. Beautifully maintained old diner!
Good food, nice that it is right off the highway. Only problem is it doesn't have alot of room in it and only one table for parties over 4 people.
Ate a late supper on a Friday evening. Wasn't too busy but the cook had to wait on table and do all the cooking. They did have a sign outside for help wanted. Was very clean and a good selection of food.

We've eaten here many times over the years when staying at the adjacent hotel while traveling through Virginia to visit relatives. It's a small, chain diner, not a large menu, but has something on the menu for most everyone. Nice people work here!
