A family birthday celebration took us to this recommended venue for a late lunch at the weekend. Windy country roads took us there so we were pleasantly surprised to find the car park full and more late arrivals parking in the mud along the green....More

A drive out with my niece for the second time to Matching Green. A beautiful English village and The Chequers overlooks the Green. A superb location, lovely menu and friendly and polite staff. We love it here.

Lovely venue. Friendly staff. Yummy food. Good menu choices. Fine beers and fine wine. A little expensive but somehow forgivable. Definitely worth revisiting.

I had roast pork which was the most tender pork I have had in a long while. The service was excellent, really efficient and friendly. The pub was busy and rightly so given the standard of food and service.

Hi there is a back section that is similar to a restaurant so I would think it wouldn’t be a problem. We have only been there after 8 and haven’t seen any young children perhaps it might be worth giving them a call. H
