I stumbled across this charming restaurant and loved the interior (shabby chic and made me think that Dick and Angel from Escape to the Chateau had paid a visit!) The Thai rice & Salmon dish with Veg and a salad was delicious and I could...tell the ingredients were of a high quality. I opted for the chocolate mousse which didn't disappoint- in fact, it was the best I'd ever tasted and a huge portion. Do try the teas of which there is a really wide range and sublime. Whilst I think the 22 euro lunch deal is great value for money, i think 4 euros for a cuppa is somewhat steep (would be nice if it came with a biscuit). The service was friendly and you can tell there is much effort placed and detail to ensure a great dining experience. If I was staying longer, I'd love to have a long meal over wine.... the whole caboodle! So, if you are in St Martin de Re, this is an absolute MUST! Cannot recommend highly enough.More

We had the duck parmentier and the mushroom pie and both were utterly delicious. We finished with cheese. Very good value for money and the couple who ran the place were lovely. We waited 35 mins for our food and others waited for longer but...no one complained. The only reason we didn’t tip is the delay plus they forgot our wine. We’d still go back.More

Hello, I worked for this restaurant before I bought it. When you used to come to the restaurant, the food was bought in the big super market with the cheapest product available. Now I bought my products from the farm on the island and most...More

This is our second visit to this fantastic restaurant since it was taken over in 2018. It was good before but even better now. Tonight there were 4 mains to choose from and 4 desserts. Food is beautiful rustic type cooking, extremely flavoursome, tasty well...presented and during your time in restaurant staff are very friendly and attentive. Our daughter is vegetarian and it was great for her to have choices which are wholesome - she lived the place as much as us. Will be back again.More

We had lunch here, sitting outside last week during a visit to Ile de Re. The menu was a little limited, but the food we had wad freshly prepared and delicious. Away from the crowds around the harbour, but delightful for that. Very friendly service,...lovely place, and genuine good food. Go there, I'm glad we did!More

We happened across this lovely little place quite by accident when we stopped to watch a game of boules being played on Place de la Republique one evening on our way back to our hotel from the quayside. If you are after haute cuisine, go...elsewhere (maybe Hotel Toiras), but if you want reasonably priced (for St Martin at least....) rustic, homely French cooking served by the friendliest staff you could wish to meet, then this is the restuarant for you.More

We walked away from the congested centre of St Martin and were delighted to find this restaurant. Simple menu, two mains and two desserts. Between the two of us we tried both mains and the chocolate fondant. Definitely the best meal we have had since...coming to the La Rochelle area. Great value also.More

I was so impressed with in Air de Famille that I visited twice in my short stay in St Martin. The menu comprises of about 10 dishes but to find 2 of them vegetarian was a joy. I had the mushroom tart the first evening...which was hugely enjoyable-tasty and fresh. I note that a previous reviewer referred to the food being reheated but this is what happens in restaurants-they aren't preparing a tart every time one us ordered. My rat came with a green salad and tomatoes, feta and a radish salad. The atmosphere is very 1920's/1930's. Very reasonably priced -it us most certainly worth searching for.More

This was the best value restaurant we visited in St Martin. It has a limited menu and only when you see your food being prepared as to why. All dishes are pre-prepared and then re-heated, such as Quiche and a version of Shepherds Pie. The...re-heating appears to be either under a grill or microwave which isn't the norm. Having said this, the wine and food were very good homely dishes and great value which is hard to find in St Martin. Chef/owner was very friendly and works hard which should be supported - so yes I would visit again.More
