Had lunch in the lovely restaurant to celebrate a friend's birthday. We started with an aperitif which was served with a selection of complimentary amuse bouche We all opted for the Discovery menu priced at 49 Euros which comprised starter, main and dessert from the a la carte menu. Three glasses of wine (one to complement each course) were also... More

Had read the reviews on TripAdvisor and all correct, the restaurant did not disappoint. The service is very good and the food excellent. There is a cheaper Bistro menu but as it was our wedding anniversary we had the 49€ menu, I opted to add the three glasses of wine to go with the meal. We had the foie gras... More

Elegant, understated and delicious, this "in hotel" dining room was faultless from start to finish, interesting food and very good wine pairings for €6/glass. Definitely one to try.

The food was amazing but fairly pricey. That said, we ate there 2 nights as it was such a great food experience. You could order a tasting menu where they picked wine to complement every course, and described the flavours to expect and how they worked together. When food was brought to your table, the waiter described everything that was... More

liked everything great family and hotel. Loved the rustic nature of the island, fun to explore on bikes. Great food at the hotel, best showers ever and comfy beds. Nothing was too much trouble. Have asked for vineyard contact details to buy some wine the hotel recommended.

We recently stayed on l'Ile d'Oleron for a couple of nights and had dinner at this restaurant on both nights. The first night the food was probably marginally better than the first, but on both occasions it was really excellent. Certainly they were two of the best meals I have eaten at restaurants that did not have Michelin stars. In... More

Service is a bit stiff, but the feel of the place is more relaxed than fine dining (which you would not think seeing the uniformed staff). The food, however, and the lovely inner garden set it apart. The wine list has all of the right areas but not quite the right producers. Nevertheless it has some good coverage and is... More

The restaurant is obviously aiming for a high level of cuisine and largely it manages that. However the chef clearly has a sweet tooth and for me personally that made one or two dishes to dessert like. The service is professional and the wine list caters to all types.
